DIOR SPRING 2014 NAIL COLOUR IN 204 PORCELAINE

Surprisingly (ok, miraculously) I only picked up one thing from the 2014 Dior Spring 'Trianon' Collection.  This is the Nail Vernis in a gorgeous, cream baby blue called'Porcelaine' (204).  It's limited edition.

Consistent with all the Dior nail polishes, it comes with a nice, wide, flat brush for quick, efficient application in few strokes.

I found I needed 2-3 coats to get an even, full coverage application.  The consistency of the formula was just a smidgen thicker than average, so ease of application was a teeny bit difficult.  Thankfully, I found that gently dabbing the product just on any translucent patches left behind with the brush laid flat works to make it all even.

For reference, I have tanned, olive skin (~NC35).

Below are comparison swatches of other baby blue nail polishes I have my collection.

L - R: Dior Porcelaine, Chanel Riva, Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect in 'Air' (06), Revlon Blue Lagoon (092) and Nars Kutki.

There's not an exact match above, but I'd say the closest in shade is Sally Hansen's Air, but in person, the latter is sheerer and has micro shimmers in it that funnily enough give a "porcelain" effect compared to Dior Porcelaine's cream (no shimmer) finish.  Chanel Riva is also sheerer, also has shimmers and has a green tinge to it.  Revlon Blue Lagoon is a shade darker and has the most visible (silver) shimmers in it out of the three that have shimmers.  Nars Kutki is even a tad darker than Revlon Blue Lagoon and has a cream (no shimmer) finish.

I think I can officially say I have more than enough baby blue nail polishes. ^_^  But, I'm very glad that Dior Porcelaine has joined my collection even if the application could have been much easier.  Overall, I love it and it really shows off my summer tan. :)
