Packaging
This liquid beauty comes packaged in a clear glass bottle.
This liquid beauty comes packaged in a clear glass bottle.
Above: size of the bottle with respect to my hand.
It has a silver, plastic cap which you twist to open and this also pops up a clear plastic button on the top. You press this to dispense the product out of the glass pipette. When you twist the cap back to securely close, the button goes back into place. I guess the only thing to be wary of is that because it's in a glass bottle with a big opening, there's a risk of spilling if you knock it over while it's open and it will stain, so be careful!Colour, Finish, Texture & Application
'Cherry Cruise' is described as a "red berry" shade, which is what it looks like in the bottle unshaken. When shaken, it reveals a delightful, neon, cherry pink eye candy! ^_^ It's so beautiful in the bottle and even more so on the cheeks. *sigh* This is a sheer, but buildable liquid blush / stain infused with metallic "prisms" or cellophane-like powder. On the cheeks, it gives a healthy, universally flattering cerise flush of colour that's appropriate for any time of year.
As labelled, the formula is just like water so it's just as runny, thin and hence, and unnoticeable in feel on the skin. Great for those who aren't used to wearing makeup, don't like the feel of product or anything heavy on the skin, particularly when it's hot and humid! Because, it's water-based, the product is imperceptible on the skin such that it looks like a natural flush of colour that comes from within. I even love to wear this directly on bare skin on its own to perk up my complexion (and sometimes even on the lips - not sure if it's safe to use there though /:-\ - but I just love it). It's only when you apply the product after shaking (to get more glow) and look very close-up in the mirror that you can see the micro-shimmers. Even then, it's very subtle and does not emphasise pores. If you like the healthy glowing effect of By Terry The Rose de Rose Sheer Liquid Blush (which is a gel formula), but found it to shimmery, I think you will love the Cheek to Cheek. :)

Like many of By Terry's makeup (and part of the reason why it's quite pricey), this formula combines skin care benefits. It's enriched with "antioxidant Cherry extract and correcting Micro-Prisms, along with its stretch 'aqua-powder' texture that can be layered and blended".
You can apply without shaking first to create a water colour effect with cellophane transparency. Or, you can shake the product to mix the fine pearlescent powder through the water formula and apply to the cheeks for a more textured, luminous satin-water sheen finish.
I find it best to apply with a clean finger in a dabbing motion and then gently sweeping out the edges a little. Just beware that it does leave a stain on your fingers though! You can also use a stippling brush.

I found this product to be very long-lasting without a primer. I don't need to reapply during the day. By evening it has faded a little. I also found it to be water-resistant so it will be a fantastic staple for summer, or if you're somewhere that's hot and humid.
Swatches
All swatches were applied on tanned, olive skin (~NC35) and photographed indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe.
As you can see, the texture is just like water. It's very runny so you need to be careful it doesn't run where you don't need it to during application.

The top of the swatch above shows the glowing iridescence in the liquid when the bottle has been shaken.
Above: heavy application.

On The Cheeks...
Above: applied directly on bare skin (olive tan, ~NC35 skin tone).
Swatch Comparison
Below is a comparison swatch between my favourite gel-formula blush - also from By Terry (the Rose de Rose Sheer Liquid Blush) in 'Fresh Rose' (No.01) and the By Terry Cheek to Cheek Water Color Blush in 'Cherry Cruise'. As you can see, the former has a much stronger sheen.
Ingredients
Scent
In the bottle, it has a divine scent, which I can't quite recognise or describe concretely (perhaps slightly powdery floral, fruity?) - not overpowering, but it goes unnoticed shortly after application.
Size
30 ml

Verdict
If you want something new, innovative, gives an ultra-natural, youthful, healthy-looking glow - this is it! I'm completely enamoured with it. Well done By Terry!
