How I Created the Look
Step 1: Apply two coats of Chanel Nail Colour in 'Eastern Light' (re-promoted nail colour for the summer 2014 collection [see a review of it here]) all over each nail. Concentrate more on getting the outer edges of the nails right as this is what will be seen.
Step 2: Once 'Eastern Light' has dried completely, apply two coats of Le Métier de Beauté's 'Wild Ginger' (a bright, almost neon, medium to dark orange) from the centre of each nail outward making sure to leave a gap all the way around the edge of the nail except for the tips. I only left a fairly thin gap when I applied mine here, but I find that the larger the gap, the more striking the look is due to the contrasting colours. :) [Note, 'Wild Ginger' is no longer available, but bright orange you have will be perfect].
[The Chanel promo images used the orange shade in 'Mirabella' (623) which is a limited edition from this summer 2014 collection. However, I did not purchase this].
Step 3: Apply a top coat of your choice for extra longevity and shine. I chose Guerlain's Le Top Coat Gel'.
