Innocence (160) is a newly released powder blush for Chanel's Fall/Autumn 2014 'Collection États Poétiques' Makeup Collection.
Packaging
The blush compact in the signature Chanel black lacquer with a black velvet pouch.

Colour & Finish
A pretty tea rose colour with a mauve undertone (muted, slightly warm-toned medium pink). It has the subtlest iridescence found in many Chanel Joues Contraste blushes, but is hardly noticeable once applied on the cheeks. It appears more of a semi-matte / satin finish. This shade will suit most skin tones - warm, neutral or cool.

Comparison Swatches
I am pleased to find that Chanel 'Innocence' is unique in my blush collection. :) Probably the closest shade I have is Chanel's Rose Initiale, but the latter is brighter and more pink (not mauve).
Texture, Application & Longevity
Like with other Joues Contraste shades released in the last couple of years, I found this particular Joues Contraste very soft and silky smooth. It does kick up quite a bit of powder in the compact if you use the supplied brush which is rather coarse. So beware and just gently tap (rather than sweep) the provided brush on the product and this will pick up enough product at a time to build to your desired intensity. Otherwise, I recommend using a softer or finer bristled natural hair brush. (I use my all-time fave Suqqu Cheek Brush). I suspect they have changed the formulation of these baked powders as they used to be quite hard and the supplied brush was more suitable to this hard texture. Not that I mind of course, because I do prefer the softer powder for its ease of blending. :) Hopefully, they will offer softer brushes at some stage. Overall, I love the soft texture of this powder - it just applies and blends like butter on the cheeks! ^_^ I found the blush lasted well on my dry skin (in current cold, dry winter conditions) from morning through 'til evening with the slightest fading, which is a plus. Hopefully it will last for most of the day in summer through the heat and when I tend to have combination skin.
Scent
All the Joues Contraste blushes have a fairly strong, but beautiful rose scent, which disappears after a while.
Verdict
A blush that works on many skin tones and all sorts of makeup looks. A versatile shade that has a wonderful, smooth, soft and silky texture that blends and melds well with the skin. Great longevity. Innocence is hard to fault. I think this is THE must-have item from the collection. :)
Availability
'Innocence' is a new addition to Chanel's permanent powder blush range. I purchased mine in Chanel Makeup Studio, Myer Sydney City when the Chanel Autumn Makeup collection was released a few weeks ago. They should be out in the rest of the Chanel counters by now hopefully.
Hope this was helpful.
Thanks for stopping by! ^_^ xo
