CHANEL NAIL COLOUR IN ROSE FUSION (757) FOR CHRISTMAS 2015

Rose Fusion is described as a "luminous purple grey".  It's a new, limited edition shade for Chanel's Rouge Noir Absolument Christmas 2015 collection - click here for my other picks from the collection with links to reviews and swatches.  Below is how Rose Fusion looks on my medium to tan (~NC30), olive skin - photographed indoors using a strobe.  I applied two coats without a base or top coat.

As with most Chanel nail polishes, Rose Fusion's consistency is pretty good as it isn't too thin or too thick.  If you were in a rush, you could get away with a single coat - it looks fairly even and the nail line isn't really that obvious to my eye.  To the very fussy, you may notice a little bit of "streakiness", but this doesn't bother me personally.  The pearly finish helps to detract the obviousness of such a minor flaw when viewed in different angles and in different lighting situations.

Rose Fusion is OK.  I must say, I expected it to be more beautiful in person based on what I'd seen in campaign ads and the way it was described.  When I applied it, it was OK, but it didn't wow me as some Chanel nail polishes do.  If you already own Chanel's Quartz then I would skip this even though they are slightly different in colour - you can't really tell unless you were up close and you had a beauty blogger's eye. ;-)  I would have skipped it had I known this myself beforehand!  Doh!  However, if you normally like neutral nail colours then this may be worth checking out.  The hint of colour and pearlescent finish adds a bit of interest.
