CHANEL JUMBO LONGWEAR LIP CRAYONS IN ROSE VIOLINE (NO. 2), FRAMBOISE (NO. 6), FUSCHIA (NO. 7)

Chanel have finally created their own Jumbo Lip Crayons that have been popular in the makeup industry for some time.  These are popular because of their compact, travel-friendly and easy to apply - providing both the precision of a lip pencil with its sharp tip and the colour pay-off and texture of a lipstick in one.  I know I personally LOVE them!

There are currently 8 shades available in Australia (I know there are a few more in other countries like the USA - lucky you - see The Beauty Look Book for all swatches).  I picked up three, which I've been trying for some weeks now and finally have some time to share my personal thoughts on them with you. ^_^

Packaging
Great design.  These have a retractable tip so it's very convenient to use.  I can't tell you how often I twist too much of the product out unintentionally and not be able to reverse it - thereby, wasting product coz it breaks or eventually dries out.  It's very annoying!  So, well done Chanel you.
Application
For easy application, it is recommended you use the tip to line your lips then the flat side to colour the rest of your lips.  I reckon this method would help keep the tip sharp for longer, too.  Chanel also suggest this can also be used to apply as a blush as well.  This versatility and multi-use product means it's great for travel and on-the-go.

Size
1.2 g. / 0.04 oz of product.  Below is a size comparison between a few other lip crayons from Bobbi Brown, Nyx Cosmetics and Nars.
Colours, Finishes & Pigmentation
All the colours in the range are meant to have satin finishes.  To me, these have a glossy sheen on the lips similar to the Nars Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils.  I've swatched all the eight colours in store and they all deliver full coverage in a single stroke.  Very impressive.  Here are the three shades I have:

ROSE VIOLINE (NO. 2)
Rose Violine (No. 2) is a rose nude that actually looks flattering for my medium to tan, olive (~NC30-35) skin (Hooray!).
FRAMBOISE (NO. 6)
Framboise (No. 6) is a bright raspberry pink.

FUSCHIA (NO. 7)
Fuschia (No. 7) is a bright, blue-toned (hot or shocking) pink - EXACTLY my kinda colour...*obviously* (coz I have a million like it)! >_<

If you're a makeup collector like I am, you will most likely already own similar colours from other brands, so they are not unique.  But, you may not necessarily have them in the same formula, finish and/or format, so it may still interest you. ;-)

Texture & Longevity
These have a very emollient texture and an ultra-lightweight (hence, comfy) feel upon contact with the warmth of your lips.  It glides on like melting butter.  It feels almost like a lipstick and lip oil in one even.  Despite this "moveable" texture, I do personally find it can last at least four hours (as claimed by Chanel) due to how strongly packed the product is with colour.  It leaves a decent stain even after the glossy sheen as worn off.

Verdict
These have been in my makeup bag everyday since I got them end of January and they still are.  I simply adore these.  I'm tempted to get a darker shade (Cassis) ready for autumn down under...heck, I wish I could collect them all!  A+ from me.
