Burberry has released a new capsule makeup collection influenced by the February 2017 show, which is all about natural contouring, nudes and muted colours along with shimmering golds to create an illusion of the fullness in some areas of the face. The collection includes an exclusive pre-launch of their new Lip Colour Contour range and I have one of them to show you here. I picked up four items from the collection, which are all new additions to Burberry (pictured above). I also ordered the Burberry Runway Nails (Limited Edition) Set, but this was cancelled as they were unable to ship it to Australia due to customs reasons. *Bwaaaah*. :-(

These eye shadows can be used with a dry brush for colour that is natural yet buildable; or with a dampened brush to apply with greater colour intensity and depth, or to create a precise eye line, and for increased longevity.
Stone Blue is a pretty, dusty blue and Nickel is a silver / metallic grey. Both Stone Blue and Nickel have a satin finish. Nickel has a bit more silver shimmer in it.
These are the first Wet & Dry Silk Eye Shadows I've tried from Burberry and so far, I'm impressed. :) I've owned just about all the colours from their previous formula of Sheer Eye Shadows (I have them all swatched on my blog - just do a search if you are keen! ;-)), which were my all-time favourite and saddened when they were replaced with the new formulas. I've tried two of their Wet & Dry Glow Eye Shadows, but I didn't love them as I found the finish too harsh on my skin tone - almost frosty for my liking. However, the Silk Eye Shadows are more wearable and are closer to the old Sheer Eye Shadow formula.
The Wet & Dry Silk Eye Shadows have a very soft, silky smooth, lightweight texture. Apart from a teeny bit of fall out upon application, I didn't have any issues with applying the eye shadows and blending. They applied in close to full coverage using a dry brush in just a few layers. And, despite a little fall-out, the powder applied evenly, smoothly and adhered to the skin brilliantly (without any primer or base) - better than what you see with a finger swatch. I also applied it as an eye liner using a dampened eye liner brush and it worked as expected and stayed on without a problem. I like that the quality of the eye shadow powder doesn't change at all between using it with a dry brush and a damp brush. :)
I love blue eye shadows as they contrast well with my dark brown eyes, but some can appear patchy or not true to colour on my eye lids, particularly on medium to tan skin and, they tend to be sheer. However, I'm pleased that the Stone Blue doesn't have this issue and looks true to colour on once built up. :-)
The eye shadows stayed on without creasing or fading for at least 8 hours on my normal eye lids (not oily or dry) and without a primer or fixing spray. Excellent products!

BURBERRY LIP COLOUR CONTOUR IN MEDIUM (3)
The new Lip Colour Contour Pen is a nude pen designed to prime, contour and shape for naturally fuller-looking lips. It adds a soft shadow to the lip line creating the illusion of more plumped lips. The tip is dome-shaped for easy application. The pen can also be used as a lip primer or base to smooth and soften before applying colour on top, or can be worn standalone for natural, nude lips.
Packaging
The pen has a retractable tip so it's very convenient to use as you don't need a sharpener, and the fact that you can twist the product back in is also very useful!
Colour & Finish
There are currently four shades available: Fair (01), Light (02), Medium (03) and Dark (04). I have the shade in Medium (03), which is a relatively deep, warm brown - much darker than I'd expected for a "medium" shade. But, this is meant to create a "soft shadow" so it does make sense - and it really does work! I have thin lips, so this is perfect, and the darker contouring colour and the domed tip which gives soft edges does all the work for me. Note, the colour on the end of the pen that should indicate the colour of the lip product appears lighter and more rose/pink to me compared to how it actually applies (slightly deceiving!). The (actual) shade is very similar to Mac's Whirl lipstick, but a bit lighter - a swatch comparison is shown further down below this post. It has a cream/satin finish when first applied, but wears down to a matte finish after a few hours.
Pigmentation
This gives full coverage in a single swipe and applies evenly across my lips. It covers any natural dark pigmentation creating one, even colour.
Texture, Formula & Longevity
As claimed, it has a creamy formula, so it's comfortable on the lips. It's not dry, or as drying as traditional lip pencils can be, nor does it tug or pull as you apply it, rather it feels and glides on like a lipstick. I applied this on its own all over my lips and it wore very well for at least 5-6 hours through snacks and drinks. After a meal, there was still some stain left. I did try it for a bit under lipstick and it felt and looked good, and it also maintained the illusion of a fuller pout! Yesss!

BURBERRY EYE COLOUR CONTOUR IN NAVY (NO. 120)
The Burberry Eye Colour Contour Pens are among my favourite products from Burberry. If you love the convenience of cream eye shadows in pen form then these are absolute MUST-HAVES if you haven't tried them already! >_< I raved about them in this post if you haven't read it already. This Navy colour is absolutely stunning - it's so rich in colour with some very subtle, pretty micro-shimmers. It blends and layers with other colours easily, then sets after a few minutes. Like the other shades I've tried in the range, this colour is the same in terms of lasting, lasting and lasting on the lids WITHOUT fading!!! It is uh-mazing!! I have swatched it down below.

SWATCHES & A COMPARISON
Below (L - R): Light, blended out application of the Navy Eye Colour Contour followed by a heavy swatch; Mac Matte Lipstick in Whirl and Burberry Medium Lip Colour Contour. The latter two are very similar in colour except the Burberry Lip Colour Contour is a bit lighter.
OVERALL
I'm happy with all my picks from the collection, but if I had to choose, I'd say I'm most excited by the new Lip Colour Contour Pens and the Eye Colour Contour in Navy! Highly recommend these excellent products! ^_^ The Wet & Dry Silk Eye Shadows are also worth a look if the shades take your fancy. :) I'm sure I will be picking up more in future!
AVAILABILITY
I picked up mine from the Burberry website (free shipping), but some of the items are also available from Netaporter (the latter's prices seem to be significantly less, too for some reason, so I recommend you get them there instead!). These four products are available permanently.
Hope this was helpful! :)
