SEPHORA AUSTRALIA OPENING DAY HAUL

December 5, 2014 was a historic day for all Australian beauty lovers like myself.  The very first Sephora store finally opened in Sydney (Westfield shopping centre in Pitt Street).  Being a beauty blogger, I felt it my duty to attend this momentous event. ;-)  I scheduled the day off work especially for it and drove a few hours to be there.  I arrived one hour after it had officially opened, and was surprised at how long the queue was ... still! Of course, you can only fit so many people in the two-storey store and I'm sure every one of us who waited (some overnight apparently!) in line, made the most of our time inside the store once we got in!  I must have waited about one and a half hours in line in the scorching heat to get in, and I must have spent four hours in the shop - swatching everything and having the makeup artist try products on me.  There was very little room to move.

The first 150 people in store were given a Sephora vanity case, etc - I wasn't one of those lucky and very determined people.  The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement.  There were chocolates handed out and music played by a DJ all throughout the evening.  I found the sales assistance were all very helpful and knowledgeable.  I was impressed that they had plenty of stock even with so many people.  If you found the shelves empty, they were usually either replenished with stock straight away, or you had no trouble getting them to get more if you asked for it.  So, don't be disappointed if you found the shelves empty - be sure to ask if they have more and chances are they do have them tucked away in the drawers!
Above: the massive queue at the opening of Australia's first Sephora store [this and the following four images below were taken with my phone camera].
I'm greeted first by the shelves of gorgeous holiday gift sets!
Below: the (other) queue to the checkout on the second floor, where you will also find the typical isle of travel/mini sized beauty products awaiting for last-minute impulse buys! >_<
Below: last-minute "grabby hands" at the checkout. :)
Without further ado, below are my beauty acquisitions.
1 // Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes Waterproof Mascara
2 // IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Wand Ball Brush
3 // Sephora Pro Airbrush (55) Brush
4 // Sephora Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner
5 // Bite Beauty High igment Pencil in Violet
6 // Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick in Rosé
7 // Marc Jacobs Perfection Powder in Beige (300)
8 // Marc Jacobs The Sky-Liner (Seven-Piece Highliner Collection) [limited edition].  See also below for all the eye liner pencils in the set.
9 // Tarte Pin Up Girl Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Palette [limited edition].  Below are the blushes in the set.
10 // Formula X Effects Top Coat in Demolition
11 // Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)Able Full Cover Concealer in Young (3)
12 // Sephora Nail Patch Art in 411.
Above (L - R):
// Chloé Eau de Parfum Roller Ball (for my sister)
// Sachajuan Volume Shampoo (I love their Hair Repair conditioning treatment, so trying these next!)
// Sachajuan Volume Conditioner
// Sachajuan Ocean Mist (hair texturising spray)
// Sephora Green Tea (Mattifying & Anti-Blemish) Mask - Pack of 5 (for my mum who has oily skin)
// Sephora Lotus (Hydrating & Soothing) Mask - Pack of 5 (for my sister)
// Sephora Lotus Mask - single.

There have been promises of a US price match, but disappointingly you will find many of the brands are still more expensive here.  I found the closest match were probably the Sephora brand.  Tarte and Bite Beauty were also comparable but, brands like Marc Jacobs Beauty had prices of about 25% more than in the US, and even our very own Australian brand Becca Cosmetics is approximately 20% more in Sephora Australia.  This is based roughly on today's exchange rate and comparing US Sephora online store prices (note the US prices do not include their state-specific taxes) with AU RRP minus the 10% GST.  While the markup could be worse, I'm sure none of us really wanted to pay more than the rest of the world.  It's great for incidental type purchases, but not so great for those beauty aficionados who buy regularly, or often in *ahem*...much larger, (albeit unhealthy) quantities.  ;-)

The other thing that disappointed me was that those of us who have acquired plenty of Sephora loyalty points in the US (either through online and/or through travels), cannot take advantage of it here.  Sephora Australia will have their own loyalty system, which will not officially begin until next January.  This is a bit of a bad blow on people like myself who splurged on opening day! :-(  Nonetheless, I have signed up for it in store to be notified of when it begins.  I've even asked the SA if I could somehow get the points for what I purchased on the day - after all, surely they can take in receipts, scan it in and their system can work it out retrospectively?  But, no.  Ah well...perhaps retailers aren't that clever even for something that makes simple sense.

Overall, I'm still displeased with a lot of the inflated prices (and lack of samples with my purchase), but at least we can now look forward to seeing more brands here in Australia and have a play!  I'm looking forward to having more Sephora stores opening, especially closer to me, and online purchasing would be terrific, too.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Urban Decay isn't sold in Sephora...but, I little birdie told me once they were going to be sold in Myer one day.  Fingers crossed it is true.  I was sad to not to find Beauty Blender there, or Caudalie.  I was also after the limited edition Bite Beauty "Best Bite Remix" mini holiday set of four High Pigment Pencils, but I didn't see it in store, and regret that I didn't ask!  Tsk! Tsk!  All the better for my wallet though. ;)

Meanwhile, looking forward to trying some new brands and new products in my haul! ^_^

Thanks for looking. x

BY TERRY TERRYBLY VELVET ROUGE LIPSTICKS IN DREAM BLOOM, BANKABLE ROSE & GYPSY ROSE

$

By Terry's latest new lip product range presents their own rendition of liquid or fluid lipsticks, called the Terrybly Velvet Rouge Lipstick.  This range delivers the intense pigment of a lipstick with a "matte velvet" finish and are designed to be long-lasting.  There are currently eight shades available, but the three I chose are: Dream Bloom (3), Bankable Rose (7), and Gypsy Rose (6).

Colours & Finish
Dream Bloom (3) - a warm rose pink - perfect for every day.
Bankable Rose (7) - a shocking pink - ultra bright and saturated - sure to make you smile!
Gypsy Rose (6) - a medium to dark plum pink.  This one is a little too purply blue for my liking though.

These appear slightly creamy/glossy when first applied, but then appears semi-matte to a matte finish when you're left with a stain after several hours.

Packaging
This range are packaged similarly to a gloss.
The doe-foot applicator has a rather unique shape, which is designed to be ergonomic.  I'm still undecided about this applicator.  It has a dip in the middle which suggests it might fit on the contours of the lips, but it's quite long so those with full lips might find it easier to apply this way.  My lips are quite thin unfortunately, so I tend to use just the tip of the applicator.  It's taking a while to get used to as it is rounded and a little tricky to get right in the corners of the lips.  But, I do like the fact that it still applies precisely on the outer edges of the lips since most of it is on a curve and the rounded tip seems to make it easier.
Swatches
For reference, the swatches were applied on my olive, medium to tanned skin and photographed indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe.

Pigmentation, Application, Feel & Longevity
Intense pigment? Big tick.  The creamy formula glides on the lips evenly and smoothly.  It has a slightly waxy feel and is not sticky.  (I do prefer the feel of Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet, which is even more lightweight and has a velvety smooth feel, followed by the YSL Kiss & Blush, which is similar, but not as comfortable).  By Terry Terrybly Velvet Rouge Liquid wears well - leaving a nice, stain on my lips after about 6-7 hours over drinks and meals.  I don't have dehydrated lips, but I did find as the lipstick wore and faded into a stain, it did feel a bit drying.

Ingredients
Ingredients (coctab) : Isododecane, Octyldodecanol, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Hydrogenated Styrene/isoprene Copolymer, Silica, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Polyethylene, Mica, Dicalcium Phosphate, Helianthus Annuus Seed Cera / Helianthus Annuus (sunflower) Seed Wax, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Propylene Carbonate, Parfum / Fragrance, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Sorbitan Isostearate, Alpha-isomethyl Ionone, Tocopherol, Portulaca Pilosa Extract, Tin Oxide, Citronellol, Geraniol, Sucrose Cocoate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide -38, +/- [ci 77891 / Titanium Dioxide, Ci 45410 / Red 28 Lake, Ci 15850 / Red 6, Ci 15850 / Red 7 Lake, Ci 77491 / Iron Oxides, Ci 77492 / Iron Oxides, Ci 42090 / Blue 1 Lake]. (t0326/b)

Overall
Excellent pigmentation and long-wearing.  I also find these make my lips look plumper and fuller, which I really appreciate!  Love the colours - especially Dream Bloom which I will get a lot of use out of for day wear, and Bankable Rose, which is so amazingly intense in colour.  I wish it didn't feel drying on my lips though!

I purchased mine from Harrods.com, but is also available in Space NK UK.

TOM FORD MATTE LIP COLORS IN PINK TEASE, PUSSYCAT, PLUM LUSH & FIRST TIME

$

Tom Ford have released its new range of matte lip colours and there are currently 8 shades available.  I picked up 4 last month when Harrods.com were having a 10% off sale. :)
The Tom Ford Lip Color Matte lipsticks are packaged in the same way as its Lip Color range, which I love taking photos of coz together, they look like building blocks.  Masculine in form and ultra luxurious.
Below are the product description labels on the bottom of the lipsticks.
The colours I picked up were: Pink Tease (03), Pussycat (04), Plum Lush (05) and First Time (09).  The latter is a limited edition shade.
Pink Tease (03) is a cool-toned, pale pink.
Pussycat (04) is a medium to dark mauve.  A typically, autumnal shade - it's darker, but similar to my natural lip colour so it's also a great everyday colour.
Plum Lush (05) is a gorgeous, bright berry shade.
First Time (09) is a pale peach.  It's a great nude lipstick that surprisingly doesn't wash my current medium to tan, olive skin tone.  It has just enough colour and brightness to it to stop it from doing so.

Swatches
For reference, all swatches are applied on my current medium to tan, olive skin and photographed indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe.

Pink Tease (03)
Pussycat (04)
Plum Lush (05)
First Time (09)

Application, Pigmentation, Feel & Wear
First Time and Pink Tease are the most difficult to apply because they have a creamy texture and tend to move around my lips.  You need to blot it down or dab the edges with a clean finger to finish it off so it removes any excess and gives a more even coverage.  This is necessary especially if you have naturally darker, pigmented lips like I do.  Typically, the lighter shades of First Time and Pink Tease also have the least wear time - still not bad at around 4 hours wear.  Pink Tease is a pretty, feminine shade, but it does tend to accentuate the lines on my lips, so make sure you exfoliate and condition your lips well before-hand with a moisturising lip balm such as Nuxe Rêve de Miel, which has a matte finish or a lip primer.

Pussycat and Plum Lush were both a breeze to apply - gliding on the lips smoothly.  They also felt the most comfortable to wear and they (Plum Lush especially) lasted from morning through until I took them off late in the evening.  Plum Lush in particular, doesn't budge!  Both looked great on the lips - more of a satin to matte finish.

All shades have excellent pigmentation and coverage.

I currently do not have dehydrated lips, but like a lot of matte lip formulas, I feel these were a bit drying to my lips, especially the two lighter shades - though not intolerable.  I probably would not recommend this formula to those with dehydrated (often prone to chapped) lips.

Overall
My favourite is Plum Lush - I haven't been able to stop wearing this lately!  It brightens my olive complexion and makes me happy. :)  I'm sure this is going to be one of my go-to, bright lipsticks and will reside in my makeup bag for some time.  Pussycat is my second favourite and see it as one of those reliable, neutral everyday shades.  I'm not usually a nude lipstick fan, but I think First Time is a great peach nude - one of the few that look good on me.  Pink Tease is my least favourite - mostly because it accentuates my lip lines (even ones you didn't know about! /:-\)

Overall, Tom Ford's Lip Color Matte Lipsticks are a must-have for luxury lipstick lovers, but I highly recommend picking up at least one of the deeper or brighter colours just because they apply the best and feel the most comfortable to wear.  Plum Lush in particular! ;-)

[If want to see more swatches, the lovely Rae from the Raeviewer.com has swatches of all 8 shades in the range].

Hope this helps! :)

MARC JACOBS | THE SKY-LINER - SEVEN-PIECE PETITES HIGHLINER COLLECTION

$

0
Marc Jacobs The Sky-Liner is a new, limited edition gift set of seven mini Highliner eye pencils for holiday/Christmas 2014.  Their Highliner eye pencil range have a gel formula and designed to be waterproof, deliver intense colour and provide "extreme wear".  This is the first time I have tried this eye liner range from Marc Jacobs.  The only other product I've tried from the brand is their eye shadow palette, which I was a little disappointed with, but I was keen to try their Highliners after reading great reviews.

The Sky-Liner set consists of the brand's five best-selling shades and two new limited-edition eyeliner shades with the set centred around the signature shade of the season, "Midnight in Paris".

Packaging
The set comes packaged in a sleek, black lacquer (plastic so it is lightweight), collectible case with the Marc Jacobs logo embossed in silver on the lid.
Below: one of the Highliner pencils (in the colour O(vert)) up close.  The pencils are very modern, sleek-looking in the reflective silver coating and almost featherweight.  Be careful not to drop them as I did that and the entire colour content/product itself broke and fell out of the pencil body.  Luckily, however, I was able to easily slip it back in and it still works.  Phew!
Below is the size of the petite Highliner pencil with respect to my slightly smaller than average hand.
Since I don't own any of the full-sized Marc Jacobs Highliner pencils, below is a comparison of its petite size compared to a full-sized Chanel Style Yeux Waterproof eye pencil.
The pencils do not need sharpening as more product is dispensed by simply twisting the bottom coloured end clockwise.  If you dispense too much, you can twist it back in the anti-clockwise direction for the product to retract back down into the pencil body.
Colours
Above image from left to right:

Blacquer - the blackest black I've come across so far in terms of eye pencils.  It has a matte finish.
Plum(age) - a vivid purple.
Th(ink) - a satin, deep navy.
Midnight in Paris - a dazzling, inky indigo blue (Limited Edition, Exclusive shade).
Sunset - a golden bronze shimmer (Limited Edition, Exclusive shade).  This one is so pretty when used on the bottom lash line and/or in the inner corners of the eyes. :)
Brown(out) - bronze with shimmer.
O(vert) - forest green.
Swatches
For reference, the swatches are applied on my current medium to tan, olive skin tone and photographed indoors using a strobe.
Comparison Swatches
Pigmentation, Texture & Longevity
The pigmentation is top-notch and most of the shades deliver full opacity in one swipe (Plum(age) and Th(ink) were only slightly less pigmented, but still pretty good).  It has a soft, but not too soft gel texture that applies on the skin without tugging at it and allows ample time for you to blend it out before it sets.  The wear is indeed excellent as it wore on my lash line from morning 'til late evening when I took it off with barely noticeable fading.  (Note, I personally never line my waterline as I have very sensitive eyes, so I haven't test the wear in that way).  For reference my eye lids have normal skin condition (neither oily or dry) and I wore this without any primer underneath.  Also, when I washed the swatches off my arm using a cleansing oil (which usually removes everything including waterproof products in a breeze) - I noticed all the other eye liners came off easily, but the Marc Jacobs Highliner swatches remained and needed to be scrubbed with more effort to remove!

RRP & Size
US$45 (without state-specific taxes) / AU$65 (incl. GST) for 7 x 0.37 g / 0.0131 oz of product.  (Note, the full-sized individual Highliner pencil is normally US$25 for 0.5 / 0.0176 oz g of product).

Ingredients
"Vitamin E and rosa canina seed extract soothes, softens, and protects delicate skin around the eyes."

Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Isohexadecane, Isododecane, Polyethylene, Synthetic Wax, Silica, Ceresin, Polyisobutene, Methicone, Rosa Canina Seed Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Iron Oxides (Ci 77499).

Verdict
Impressive formula that delivers great colour pay-off and longevity.  Sleek,  collectible gorgeous, convenient packaging.  An excellent selection of colours for neutral everyday wear to glitzy, evening glamour.  Overall, an amazing - great value introductory set and a terrific Christmas gift idea for yourself or a loved one.  Really impressed with the intense, true black in Blacquer, too!  I'm a very happy customer. ^_^

SNEAK PEEK! LES INTEMPORELS DE CHANEL SPRING 2015 COLLECTION

Hello!  Belated happy new year and hope you had a great Christmas.  Apologies for being MIA - this has been the longest drought on my blog and I've missed it.  Thanks to some kind comments for providing me with extra motivation.  Without further ado, I thought I'd resume with a sneak peek post of my latest Chanel acquisition. ;-)  It is from their Les Intemporel de Chanel Collection ("Timeless Collection") for spring 2015, which officially launches next month.  It is a very small collection of only two limited edition products inspired by the iconic 2.55 bag of Mademoiselle Chanel that the brand is celebrating with a beautiful palette of five eyeshadows and a silver nail colour.
Above: L'Intemporel de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette (now reviewed HERE) embossed with the 2.55 bag chain motif, and Nail Colour in Intemporel (reviewed HERE) is inspired by the chain's metallic glimmer.
I am not certain this will be released in all Chanel counters such as in department stores, but they will definitely be available at Chanel boutiques and the Chanel Makeup Studio (Myer, Sydney).  From similar small collection releases in the past, they were only released in the boutiques and Makeup Studio.

So, whether you are a fan of the bag (I'm not personally) or a Chanel makeup aficionado like myself - you may not want to miss this.

Swatches and thoughts on these two products to come soon so stay tuned if you're keen. ;-)

Meanwhile, have a great weekend! ^_^ xo

L'INTEMPOREL DE CHANEL EYESHADOW PALETTE FROM LES INTEMPORELS DE CHANEL SPRING 2015 COLLECTION

About
"Inspired by the iconic CHANEL 2.55 bag, the L'Intemporel de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette unveils a harmony of five leather-effect eyeshadows with a raised chain embossed in the powder."
For a sneak peek at the Les Intemporel de Chanel Collection - click HERE.

Packaging
The sleek, lightweight, black lacquer compact comes with a black velvet pouch.
Below: the product description label on the bottom of the compact.
The palette comes with two, mini, dual-ended applicators - three sponge applicators and a little, flat brush with natural bristles.
Colours
The colours are right up my alley!  Simply stunning.  It soon dawned on me that most of the shades  are reminiscent of my all-time favourite eye shadow palette from Chanel Spring 2011 - Chanel Ombres Perlées de Chanel(unfortunately it was a limited edition).  Both consist of beautiful, deep jewel-like colours - unusual for spring and more typical for autumn/winter, but I love the combination so much I'd happily wear it any time of year!
Below - photographed in low light (without a strobe) to capture the iridescence.
From left to right in the palette:
- Soft, pale yellow (with gold shimmer)
- Grey green (satin)
- Black (satin)
- Plum (satin)
- Soft, white (with silver shimmer)

Swatches
Below are swatches applied without a primer on my medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone.  Photographed indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe.
Below - photographed in low light (no strobe) to capture any iridescence.
Swatches - Over Primer
Below are swatches applied over Tom Ford Primer Duo (reviewed here).  As you can see, there's definitely a big difference in the intensity of colour, satiny-sheen finish and opacity of the eye shadows when using a primer.  The colours are even more stunning!
Again, below are the swatches over primer when photographed under low light.
Comparison Swatches
I've compared Chanel Ombres Perlées de Chanel and L'Intemporel de Chanel Eyeshadow Palettes.  Apart from the pink in Ombres Perlées and the yellow shade in L'Intemporel the rest are from the same colour family.  The two palettes have different formulas and finish.  Ombres Perlées has a gorgeous cream to powder consistency with a shimmery finish.  Note, the swatches here were applied without a primer.
Below - shot in low light to show more distinctly the difference in finish between the two eye shadow palettes.
Application, Pigmentation & Texture
As with some eye shadows, L'Intemporel applied better on the eye lids using the supplied sponge tip applicator or brush than when swatched with a finger.  They seem much softer and not as pigmented when swatched, but showed well enough on the eye lids on their own for me.  The addition of a primer or base on the lids will further intensify the sheen, colour and opacity if you wanted to take it to a more dramatic level.  The satin eye shadows are very finely milled, soft and smooth in texture.  The two shimmery shades are slightly drier (a common trait for shimmer eyeshadows), but still soft.  The colours are buildable and adhered well on the lids even without a primer or base.  There was no fall-out during application.  Due to the soft texture, it's best to blend using the softest brush you can find to avoid removing all colour while you blend.  I would avoid goat-hair blending brushes for example.  Overall, it takes very little effort to blend these eyeshadows out, which is great. :)

I wasn't sure how to make use of the white eye shadow at first, but I found it works well to highlight the brow bone if sheered out and blended well.  Note, given that it's stark white and shimmery - a little goes a long way if you want it to look as seamless as possible.  I then like to use the shimmering, pale yellow in the inner corners of my eyes, with the plum on the centre of my lids, the green in the outer corners and the black as eye liner.

Longevity
The eyeshadows lasted on my normal (neither oily or dry) eye lids without a primer for 7-8 hours with a bit of fading.

Lip and Cheek Pairings
Here are a few of my favourite lip and cheek pairings with L'Intemporel de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette that worked best for my medium, olive skin tone.
The Nude Lip Option
I don't often wear nude type lip colours, just because I need a bit of brightness/colour to make my dull, greenish skin look more alive.  But, when paired with such rich, smokey, dramatic eye colours making your eyes to star of the show - it's a good option to balance the whole look with a more subdued/neutral lips.  For this, I've chosen to go with a nude peach which goes well with the Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Jersey (#80) and complements the purple and green eye shadows.  I lined and filled in my entire lips for definition, longevity and to even out my pigmented lips with my current favourite lip liner - Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat.  Then I layered with Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Évasion (#48).  I think the whole look is appropriate for either day (if you're confident) or night.

The Slightly Brighter, Glossy Lip Option
To perk up my lips a bit without looking clownish, I like the slightly brighter, glossy peachy pink lips.  Since the eye shadows are not particularly shimmery, a glossy lip adds a lovely contrast and is a great way to create fuller lips if you have thin lips like I do.  I use Chanel Rouge Coco in Jersey Rose (#77) topped with Dior Lip Polish Smoothing Lacquer in Glow Expert (#003).  The look is very pretty for day.  (Note, I avoid wearing just pink lips as I find it clashes too much and looks a bit '80s).

The Dramatic Lip Option
A rich, delicious plum lipstick is a great way to really amp up the whole look for the evening.  I love it paired with Burberry Lip Cover in Bright Plum (No. 15).  This lipstick is deep and dramatic, but also it has a sheen finish to it which stops the whole look from being too flat if you're using the middle three eye shadows primarily, which aren't shimmery or glittery in finish.

I find a neutral shade like Chanel Jersey Powder Blush works for all looks with this eye shadow palette. :)

Of course, there are no rules when it comes to makeup - just have fun and wear what you like with confidence! :)

Overall
A must-have, especially for the Chanel makeup collector.  If you missed out on Chanel Ombres Perlées de Chanel then I highly recommend you snatch L'Intemporel de Chanel up before it's also gone (forever)!  Even if you do have it and you love it as much as I do, both are still worth having as they have a different finish and texture.  In fact, the shimmery shadows of the Chanel Ombres Perlées de Chanel could work well layered on top of L'Intemporel for added dimension.  I'm-a give this a try myself next! ;-)

Hope this helps. :)

CHANEL NAIL COLOUR IN 'INTEMPOREL' FROM LES INTEMPORELS DE CHANEL SPRING 2015 COLLECTION

$
0
0
Chanel 'Intemporel'is a new limited edition nail colour from the Les Intemporel de Chanel ("Timeless") Spring 2015 Collection.  This nail colour is only one of two items in this small collection.  The other is a beautiful five-colour eye shadow palette - reviewed here.

Colour & Finish
Intemporel is a silver with a metallic finish. I applied two coats on my nails in the photos below.
(For reference, I have medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone, and all photographs were taken indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe).
Coverage, Consistency & Application
On the upside, Intemporel has excellent opacity.  This is another one-coat wonder from Chanel.  However, the consistency was a bit too thick for my liking, so application was a bit tricky to apply and spread evenly.  It was also streaky, which may bother some people.  Still, dry time is quite quick for a relatively thick consistency (granted I applied this during the heat of summer), which is generally great...but, does mean it's harder to go back and make any corrections and more attempts at making it all look even.  So by the time I was done with trying to make it look perfect on my nails, I ended up applying two coats essentially! /:-\

All Chanel nail polishes are formaldehyde-free, toluene-free and DBP-free.

Longevity
I've been wearing Intemporel for seven days now and it is only showing minor tip wear, which is pretty excellent.  So, it's consistent with most of the Chanel nail polishes I've tried in that respect!

Packaging
Chanel nail polishes come with a plastic, square cap which other than for aesthetic purposes, you can use to rest your finger tip on as you apply on the nail polish.
The applicator brush is thin, which is great for precise application and also suits all nail shapes and sizes as big, flat, square edged brushes may not work for those with more of a curved-shape at the cuticle ends and/or have smaller, narrower nails.
Size
13 ml / 0.4 fl.oz.

Overall
Intemporel was a lot less complex and interesting than what I'm used to from Chanel.  Had I seen swatches of it before, I don't think I would have made the splurge.  While I do appreciate metallic nail polishes, I initially found this silver a bit too much of a stark contrast against my skin tone.  Hence, why I've never actually purchased anything quite like it before - so no comparison swatches were made.  (The nearest shades I do have are swatched in this post).  But, it is growing on me. ;)  If you are a fan of silver metallic nail polishes, then you may have something similar already that applies easier and isn't as expensive!  Long-wearing though from my experience.

UNBOXING | FIRST MECCA BEAUTY LOOP L3 BOX OF 2015

$
0
0
Pretty excited to unbox the first Mecca Beauty Loop Level 3 Box for 2015 (there are four given out every year).  This box contains one full-sized product, two deluxe/mini-sized products and two sample-sized products:

// Mini By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder (1.3 g / 0.045 oz)

I adore cute-sized minis just as much as full-size products.  I always find them handy for travelling.  This one has a sifter inside for controlled powder dispensing just like the full-sized version.  I know this powder has had great reviews, so I'm very excited indeed to try this.

// Mini Mecca Cosmetica Clean Slate Makeup Remover (35 ml / 1.18 fl. oz)

This claims to be a gentle formula that removes all traces of makeup (even waterproof) and is suitable for eyes, face and lips.  It also seems to have a clear, water-like consistency, which you apply with a cotton pad with no rinsing required.  It would be interesting to see how this compares with other similar products on the market including the much widely loved Bioderma Sensibio or Créaline H20.

// Tocca Eau de Parfum in Cleopatra (0.05 fl. oz / 1.5 ml sample vial)

My first chance to try a Tocca fragarance.  This one is "inspired by the Mediterranean seductress, Cleopatra captivates the senses".  The fragrance is described as "fresh, sparkling grapefruit and lush greens fade into accords of sensual white jasmine and tuberose; leaving an exotic rich dry down of warm patchouli, golden amber and rich vanilla musk".

To me, my first, quick first impression is that it smells kinda pleasant, but "old school" if you know what I mean, and I think that's largely due to the vanilla musk I'm picking up.  It's not offensive, but it's not something I'd personally go for. ;)

// Verso Super Facial Serum with Retinol 8 (2 ml / 0.07 fl. oz sample sachet)

// Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Cobalt (Full size 0.28 g / 0.01 oz)

Uber bright, fun shade - but it's blue, so I'm game. ;)  I just gotta learn to remember that the pencil can only be twisted one way - i.e., to dispense product.  You cannot retract it.  >_<  I've ruined a couple of Stila smudge sticks in the past when I hadn't realised it!

There you go!  I always look forward to these boxes as it's a great way to try new products/brands and hopefully discover new loves to purchase.

If you're eligible for a Beauty Loop box and you've received an email notification about this month's box - I highly recommend you pick yours up soon rather than later so you don't miss out.

MY BOYS PABLO & JUSTIN

I picked up a couple of lipsticks from the Tom Ford Lips & Boys collection as soon as they became available on Selfridges last year. There are fifty limited edition, clutch sized lip colours - all named after the characters in Tom Ford's life.  With so many to choose from, I decided to stick with shades I love best. Naturally I gravitated towards the fuchsias to magentas, and the violets to orchids range - selecting Justin (27) and Pablo (43) respectively. ^_^  I've heard some lipstick shades didn't apply evenly, but I did not have any issues with Pablo or Justin at all. These are gorgeous, bright colours with excellent pigmentation and apply evenly. They also felt comfortable on my lips. Though I must say the two shades didn't look all that different from each other when swatched, but upon closer inspection, Pablo does appear to be ever so slightly darker and cooler toned with a more purplish hue.  The difference is more noticeable when applied on the lips (see swatches and how they look on my lips below).

About
"This decadent wardrobe of rich lip color shades delivers maximum impact.  Rare and exotic ingredients including soja seed extract, brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil create an ultra-creamy texture with an incredibly smooth application. Specially treated color pigments are blended to deliver pure color with just the right balance of luminosity
Showcased in a sleek limited edition clutch sized lipstick case, each lip transforming shade, from James to Henry and Stavros to Francesco, amplifies a woman's individuality while generating an insatiable desire to try more than one."

Colours & Finish
Pablo is a bright, medium, cool-toned purplish pink with a luminous finish.
Justin is a bright, medium, fuchsia with a luminous finish.

Swatches
Below are swatches applied on my medium, olive skin (~NC30) and photographed indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe.
Comparison Swatches
Below is a comparison with one of my favourite orchid lipsticks - Maybelline ColorSensational in Hot Plum.
On My Lips
Both lipsticks were applied on my bare, naturally blue-toned, pigmented lips (no primer, lip balm, or lip liner underneath).

 Below: Pablo
RRP & Size
AU$45 / US$32 / £26 for clutch size at 2 g / 0.07 oz.
Below is a size comparison between the clutch and full-sized Tom Ford lipsticks.  The full size (2.8 g / 0.1 oz) retails for AU$68 / US$50 / £37.
Verdict
Although both colours may not be unique, I've been getting a lot of use out of them.  If you've been curious about Tom Ford lipsticks, but not ready to invest in the full-size - this is a great and more affordable option.  I just adore the colours, pigmentation and feel of Pablo and Justin, and who doesn't love a cute, clutch-sized lippy?!

YVES SAINT LAURENT VOLUPTÉ TINT-IN-OIL IN PINK ABOUT ME (8)

$

The YSL Volupté Tint-in-Oil is a new range now released in Australian YLS beauty counters.  This is one of the latest generation of lip products that is a lightweight, tinted, oil formula.  (Clarins also has released their version of it for a limited time, called Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil, but I've yet to see these in Australia).  The YSL formula reminds me of the Hourglass N° 28 Lip Treatment Oil, which I adored using as an overnight lip treatment (I did a mini review of that here) - this product has no tint to it though.  The colour I chose is in #8 'Pink About Me', which is a pale, yet brightened purply pink colour.  You know I love me some purply pink! ;) #joygasm !
"Coat your lips with this lip tint for a lightweight texture that instantly melts onto lips. It is infused with a blend of four essential oils for deep hydration: apricot kernel oil, coriander fruit oil, jojoba seed oil, and possiflora edulis seed oil.
Its exclusive applicator envelops the lips in full color and allows for a precise and uniform application.
Lightweight and non-sticky, this lip tint offers a new and luminous shine while the tint effect enhances the natural beauty of the lips—making it the perfect combination for youthful looking lips."
Love the chrome packaging with matching tint colour on the YSL logo.  Pretty and sleek.  The shape of the applicator is unique and rather cute as it's shaped like lips, but is also practical as its angle and curves make application easy and precise.

Swatches, Pigmentation & Wear
Below are swatches applied on my medium, olive (~NC30) skin.  All photographed indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe.  The oil first applies almost without any colour, but after a minute or so, the tint becomes more apparent.  As can be expected with an oil-based product that is thin in texture and lightweight - unlike the thicker, more tacky versions of lip glosses - much of the the oil is short-lived on the lips and will pretty much come off after drinks or eating a meal.  But, it does still wear down to almost like a balm texture and keeps lips feeling hydrated the rest of the time.  However, what impressed and sold me in the end was the pretty stain it left behind and that stain lasts and lasts!  So you can enjoy a more lively pair of lips throughout the day right from the very first application, and reapply the product as needed for added glossy (or oily?), shiny finish, or just for hydration - much like you would with a lip balm.
On My Lips
My lips are naturally, cool-toned with dark pigmentation especially on the upper lip, but the tint and stain left behind definitely shows up and makes my lips brighter and a little more even-toned. :)

Verdict
I'm enjoying this new and innovative formula.  I'm sure any makeup lover would find this a refreshing and exciting new addition to their lip collection - and a luxurious one at that being YSL, of course. ;)  But, I suspect similar formulas will be released by more brands over the coming months - both high-end and more affordable brands.

Availability
Available now at YSL beauty counters in select David Jones and Myer stores. These are newly added to YSL's permanent makeup range I believe.

BURBERRY HAUL & SNEAK PEEK OF MY PICKS FROM THEIR SPRING/SUMMER 2015 COLLECTION

$

My latest haul from one of my favourite beauty brands, Burberry features their Effortless Eyebrow Definer in Ash Brown (No. 03) and my picks from their spring/summer collection.  Burberry's S/S 2015 "The Birds and the Bees"colour story is inspired by the "sheer fabrics, patent textures and vivid shades of the Prorsum runway.  The look features luminous skin, colour-washed eyes and deep ruby red lips.  Nails are bright in sky blue hues and pink flower tones".  The collection includes three new eye shadows - Wet & Dry Silk Shadows (that can be applied dry or on a damp brush for more intensity) in Aqua Green, Stone Blue, Rose Pink and Tea Rose.  This formula is new and different from their Sheer Eye Shadows, which can only be used dry (see here, here and here for related posts).  I believe the three new shades have been added to the permanent line, so I haven't rushed out to get any of them as yet (even though I'm curious to see how these compare with the Sheer Eye Shadows that are one of my most favourite eye shadows!).  I picked up four of the six new, limited edition nail colours in Stone Blue, Imperial Blue, Aqua Green and Hydrangea Pink.  (The other two shades I did without are Coral Red and Pink Azalea as I already have a few very similar shades to these).  Last, but not least, is the gorgeous, slightly quirky and fun artwork from the Prorsum collection: the "Rain or Shine" limited edition powder palette, which has been originally hand-painted in the Burberry studio.  The palette features "colours from the womenswear collection: Pink Azalea and Bright Coral Red sit alongside a nude cloud on a Hydrangea Pink background".

Oh, and I just adored the packaging that my order came in that I had to share the happy snaps.  Love! ^_^

So, can't wait to play with these gorgeous beauties.  Do stay tuned for swatches and reviews if you're interested.

Meanwhile, hope you're having a great week.  The weekend is finally nearing!  Yay!!

Did/Will you pick up anything from the collection?  Have you tried their new brow pencil?  What are your thoughts?  Do share in a comment below!

Left: Color Design (2) Palette & Right: Smoky Nude (1) Palette.
By Terry have just released their Wet & Dry Eye Designer Palettes and there currently two to choose from: Smoky Nude (1) and Color Design (2).  I am unsure if these are permanent or limited edition, but I will let you know if I find out (or if you know - do share in a comment below :) ).  Each palette contains ten eye shadows, has a mix of finishes and can be applied dry for softer, every day wear or using a damp brush for added colour intensity.  This luxury brand is one of my favourites in beauty, so I was extremely excited!  Though I must say that even though I've tried several of their other products, I have never purchased or tried any of their powder eye shadows.  These are quite an investment and after much consideration, I decided to bite the bullet and purchased these sight unseen! :-o   I don't usually do that, especially for such expensive items (and to buy TWO!), but I gave it a shot and I couldn't resist given how beautiful the colours appeared on the images.  So far [knocks on wood], I haven't yet come across a By Terry product I have tried and didn't like (despite the price range), so I had high hopes.  Anyway, I will post all of my thoughts and swatches on these palettes on the blog very soon! ;-)

I purchased the palettes a little over a couple of weeks ago when Space NK (UK) were having their Spring Colour Beauty Bag with purchase, so I quickly jumped at the chance.  Unfortunately, these are now out of stock, but I thought I'd still share what the gift included anyway as they often do similar gift with purchases throughout the year and will give you an idea of how awesome and great value they are.  So, if you were interested, you might want to keep your eyes peeled for future ones (or sign up for email notifications) so you don't miss out!
I wasn't as keen on the makeup bag itself (I'm not a fan of snake-skin print), but was impressed with the goodies inside and most of them I've not tried before:

// FULL SIZE Nude Cleansing Oil
// Deluxe sample of Sunday Riley’s Good Genes
// Aromatherapy Associate 'Perfect Partners' Bath & Shower Oil Set, which includes the Revive Morning and (my absolute fave) Deep Relax bath and shower oils.
// Eyeko Eye Patch
// Mini Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector
// Deluxe sample of Algenist Eye Balm.
// RéVive Even Skin Tone Cream
// Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads
// Sample of Payot Special 5 Drying and Purifying Gel

Hope this was useful. :)

BY TERRY EYE DESIGNER PALETTE IN SMOKY NUDE (1)

By Terry have just released their Eye Designer Palettes that are currently available in two colour combinations: Smoky Nude (1) reviewed in this post and Color Design (2) reviewed in this next post.  Each palette contains ten eye shadows, has a mix of finishes and can be applied dry for softer, every day wear or using a damp brush for added colour intensity.

Packaging
Like with other luxury makeup brands, the By Terry Eye Designer Palette comes with a violet velvet pouch for protection during storage or travel.
The palette itself looks very luxe and sleek in its signature purple colour. :)  The surface of the lid has a rubber texture so it feels tactile and secure to hold in your hand.  Unfortunately, it does mean it attracts any dirt and dust.  /:-\  The palette clicks to close.  It is secure enough, but I feel it could be made even more secure, especially when it's put in your hand bag without its velvet pouch.

The palette is made from solid, quality plastic and there's a little bit of weight to it, but not too heavy so it's easy to travel with.  I'm relieved it's not made from weighty, metal like By Terry's powder blush (featured here and here) - while it looks and feel luxurious, it's not the most practical! ;)
Below is the size of the palette compared to my slightly-smaller-than-average hand.
And...how it compares to the size of the new NARSissist Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Palette.  It's the same width, but slightly shorter in length.
Below: the product description label on the bottom of the palette.
A large mirror is provided on the underside of the lid.  Each eye shadow is embossed with the By Terry logo all along the outside.
Below is the dual-ended applicator brush provided.  One end is a mini natural-bristled, soft, fluffy blending brush and the other is a nice, firm and precise eye liner brush.  I like the long length of the dual-ended brush as it makes it easier to hold and I'm less likely to lose it compared to tiny ones! ;-)  I would not recommend using the blending brush for picking up product from the pan and depositing onto the eye lids though as it's not dense enough for this and provides too much movement.  I recommend a flat-shaped, soft, dense eye brush instead.  The one provided in the palette is suitable just for blending out the edges.
Colours & Finishes
The palette consists of ten, neutral powder eye shadows with finishes from matte, satin to sheen.  All designed for creating soft, everyday eye looks to more dramatic, evening smoky eye looks.
The top row of palette from left to right consists of:
// Dark taupe (satin to matte)
// Medium, warm copper (sheen)
// Light to medium taupe (satin to sheen)
// Beige (sheen)
// Dark, cool brown (matte)

The bottom row from left to right:
// Soft, medium mauve taupe (matte)
// Pale, cool pink (matte)
// Light peach cream (matte)
// Light cream/off-white (matte)
// Pale brown or tan (matte)

Swatches (Dry)
Below are swatches applied dry with a clean finger on my medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone.  All were photographed indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe unless indicated otherwise.
Above: Top row of palette from left to right.
Above: Again, but shot in low light without a strobe to capture any iridescence in the eye shadows.

Swatches (Wet)

Texture, Pigmentation, Application & Longevity
The texture is exquisite and remind me of Burberry Sheer Eye Shadows.  They are buttery soft and so finely milled.

All the shades have excellent pigmentation and apply very smoothly, evenly and adhere to the eye lids well on their own (dry without a primer underneath - and for reference, I have normal skin condition on my eye lids).  It was only during swatching dry using a finger that I found the dark shade in the top row (left-most) to be a little dry and patchy - otherwise, I found it to apply just as well as the others using a brush on the eye lids so it wasn't an issue.

I found it best to apply these eyeshadows using a soft, dense brush due to its soft, fine texture.  This allows you to pick up as much product with little force and apply and blend onto the lids with more control and precision.  The provided applicator blending brush end is not dense enough so it gives too much movement when picking up eye shadow and depositing onto the lids so powder tended to get everywhere.

With a dampened brush, all the shades performed effortlessly and smoothly.  The colours apply almost like watercolour in that the texture remains thin rather than thick like cream eye shadows.  It goes on like second skin, and the colours are so much more vibrant, intense and even.  I feel like a real artist/painter playing around with it! ^_^ ;-)

When applied dry, I found the eye shadows to be very long lasting - I wore them for about eight hours and by the end of that period, everything was still in place with maybe only the slightest fading, but there was no creasing or patchiness.  In fact, it looked a little more luminous as it melded with the natural oils in my skin over time so it looked really good!

Size
Each of the ten eye shadows contain 1.4 g / 0.05 oz of product.

Made in Italy.

Overall
Despite the exorbitant price point (being By Terry - it is an ultra luxury brand), the texture, pigmentation and wear are the best they could be - impressive formula overall, a joy to play with and a neutral lover's eye candy.  The absence of overly shimmery or glittery eye shadows will appeal to most like myself.  I only wish that there wasn't an excess of light, matte shades in the bottom row of the palette.  More medium shades would have made this palette more complete, versatile and more worth the money.  I am keen to compare these to the new Burberry Wet & Dry Silk and Glow eye shadows, which I have yet to try.  If they are just as good then they would be a more affordable luxury option*.  For now, I'm happy with it and I think it would appeal to other By Terry fans out there who are willing to pay the price.

*[Update (04/03/2015): I said "more affordable" in general between the two brands, but of course those Burberry eye shadows currently only come in as single eye shadows (at 2.7 g / 0.09 oz) as opposed to a palette of ten, so it would be more expensive to purchase them individually. ;) But, I reckon if Burberry were to release a similar palette (what a dream that would be!), it would most likely be less expensive as with the rest of their line when you compare the two brands].

Availability
I purchased mine from Space NK (UK) online.  I've been informed by a lovely reader that the palettes are limited edition according to Space NK.

BY TERRY EYE DESIGNER PALETTE IN COLOR DESIGN (2)

By Terry have just released their Eye Designer Palettes that are currently available in two colour combinations: Smoky Nude (1) reviewed in my previous post and Color Design (2) reviewed here.

Colours, Finishes, Texture & Application
The palette consists of ten powder eye shadows - mostly vibrant colours with matte, but mostly satin to sheen/shimmer finishes.  All designed for creating a soft touch of colour for day to more dramatic, intense jewel toned eye looks for a night out.
The top row of palette from left to right consists of:

// Navy (matte) - This one performed the worst in the entire palette when applied dry.  The texture was dry with nothing to keep the fine powders bind together, so applies unevenly, sheerly and very difficult to build the colour.  It also easily transfers and drops out of place.  When applied with a damp/wet brush however, it's completely transformed in terms of colour pay-off, even coverage and application.  So, best to only use this with a damp brush unfortunately.
// Medium, brightened purple (satin)
// Lilac (matte)
// Warm, pale pink (satin to sheen)
// Cool, pale pink with a subtle purple undertone (satin)

The bottom row from left to right:
// Dark brown (matte)
// Copper (sheen to shimmer)
// Light to medium yellow (sheen to shimmer) - This one was a little powdery and applied a bit sheerly, too when applied dry.  So, best to use as a wash of colour or with a damp brush for more intense, even colour pay-off.
// Light to medium apricot (sheen to shimmer)
// Orange (matte) - This one felt slightly dry to the touch, but still applied with excellent pigmentation and saturated colour.

So far, my favourite colour combination is the orange and purple! ^_^  I think it's a fun and modern colour combination - so long as you don't take the colour all the way up to the brows. ;)  I must say, I've been obsessed with orange eye shadows lately - it's such an unexpected, flattering shade.  It's a bit like how my love of orange/orange red lipsticks was discovered years ago - unexpectedly flattering (on just about anybody!).  I found orange eye shadows contrasts so beautifully with my dark, brown eyes and even makes the whites of my eyes even whiter!  And, on my medium skin - it surprisingly doesn't look all that loud when applied dry.  Definitely more wearable than one would think!  Trust me (though I'm not a makeup artist - hehe...). ;)

With the exception of the two shades I mentioned that didn't perform as well, the rest are pretty good quality in terms of having a smooth, silky texture, excellent pigmentation and ease of application.

Overall
Out of the two palettes, Color Design was the one that caught my attention at first upon seeing the images online.  It is just so gorgeous, vibrant, colourful and unlike anything in my collection.  Annoyingly, however, this palette is not as consistent throughout in quality as the Smoky Nude (1) palette, which is overall - buttery, smooth, pigmented and a breeze to apply dry or wet.  Even though it's only a couple of eye shadows that didn't deliver as well, I still expected the same quality as the other palette for the high price point.  Nonetheless, I'm still happy to keep this as it's unique amongst my collection of eye shadow palettes.  It's a fun range of colours that I'm keen to play with and experiment using both dry and wet techniques, and bring out the creative artist in me. ;)  I think it's worth checking it out if you're craving colour.

BURBERRY S/S 2015 NAIL COLOURS | HYDRANGEA PINK, AQUA GREEN, STONE BLUE & IMPERIAL BLUE

Burberry's Spring/Summer 2015 "The Birds and the Bees" Collection includes six nail colours - one of which is a repromote and the rest are new and limited editions.  I picked four of the new LE shades - the other two include Bright Coral Red (No. 414) and the repromoted Pink Azalea (No. 223).
"Discover saturated hues direct from the Prorsum runway, intense, highly pigmented tones reflecting the British weather and landscape, and subtle hues of nude inspired by the trench coat, the most iconic of all Burberry garments."
Hydrangea Pink (No. 402)
Aqua Green (No. 418)
Stone Blue (No. 431)
Imperial Blue (No. 429)
Formula, Application & Longevity
"Formulated with patent-pending technology, Burberry Nail Polish has a protective and long-lasting high-gloss finish with accelerated drying and hardening times.
The formula contains strengthening and moisturising elements, including antioxidant pro-vitamin B5 and myrrh extract, to help protect and care for nails and prevent breakages.
A two-coat application dries in under 2 minutes and is completely hard within 6.5 minutes."

Personally, I found the formula to be consistent with other Burberry nail polishes I own - the consistency is just right (not too thick or thin) and it has the ability to self-level on the nails so application is a breeze.  All the shades applied with full coverage in two coats and there's a nice shine in the finish.  The only issue I found in some of the Burberry nail polishes I've tried is they tend to form tiny bubbles on the nails, which is a bit annoying.  (If you have the same issue, let me know in the comments).  The bubbles were most apparent in the Aqua Green shade as per the swatches above.  The nail polishes also dry relatively quickly.  The Imperial Blue nail polish had very minor tip wear by the second day on one of my nails, but overall, lasted four days before it started to chip to warrant complete removal.  I haven't tested the others here for longevity so they may vary.  I have experienced a Burberry nail polish in 'Ash Rose' (No. 103) (one of my favourite, gorgeous nude shades ever) last for two whole weeks on me with only minor tip wear! The longest lasting nail polish I've experienced so far (and beats Chanel nail polishes). :)

Overall
Burberry Nail Polishes are amongst my favourite, particularly the soft colour/nude type shades they produce.  Without a doubt, they excel in those as they are after all, Burberry's signature types of hue.  So gorgeous and pretty!  Hydrangea Pink is a must-have - will suit most if not all skin tones and a gorgeous soft, feminine muted rose pink that's a perfect everyday shade, and the rest I love in this order: Stone Blue, Imperial Blue and Aqua Green.

Available now, but they are limited edition, so hurry if you don't want to miss out.  I purchased mine from the Burberry Beauty counter in David Jones (select stores only).

NEW CHANEL ROUGE COCO - ULTRA HYDRATING LIP COLOR LIPSTICKS

Chanel have released their Rouge Coco lipsticks in 24 new shades and with a new formula - labelled as "Rouge Coco - Ultra Hydrating Lip Color" (compared with the original range, which are labelled "Rouge Coco - Hydrating Crème Lip Colour").  The shades are inspired by the close friends of Mademoiselle Chanel.

In this post, I'll be sharing swatches of my current one pick so far in "Jean" (454) - a shade that's so typically me - purple pink! >_<  Yes, that's right...I just can't get enough of this type of lipstick hue.  Also, I received a beautiful sample set of the five other shades: Adrienne (402), Coco (416), Roussy (426), Arthur (440) and Emilienne (452), so swatches of these are down below. :)  I've purchased a lot of lipsticks over recent weeks from various spring collections so I've had to restrict myself with this range!  However, I have a feeling I will purchase more...Adrienne turns out to be a beautiful, wearable nude shade on my skin tone (which doesn't happen often!), so that's most likely to be next on my list. ;)

Jean (454)
The swatches of Jean below were applied straight from the bullet of the lipstick.  For reference, I have medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone, and all photographed indoors under artificial lighting using a strobe.
Below: comparison swatches of Jean with Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lip Color in Hot Plum (also featured here) and Tom Ford Lip Color (from the Lips & Boys collection) in Pablo (reviewed here).  As you can see, Jean is a tad deeper and not as bright as the other two.

Adrienne (402), Coco (416), Roussy (426), Arthur (440) & Emilienne (452)
The swatches below were applied with the mini lip brush provided with the samples.

Please excuse the much lower quality in the lip swatches above.  They were taken using my phone camera (the white balance is not quite right), but should give you some an idea of what the colours and the shiny finish look like.  Note, I have naturally pigmented, blue-toned lips which can also affect the way the shades look on me.

Formula, Pigmentation & Feel
I must say that I am thoroughly enjoying the new formula of these! ^_^  They're lightweight, utterly juicy, feel amazingly nourishing and comforting on the lips.  There's a slight translucency to them like a gel formula.  They give a beautiful, smooth and shiny finish - making your lips look plump and luscious.  I find them very moorish in that it's a real pleasure (bordering on addictive) to apply and keep reapplying these throughout the day.  Despite the slight translucency, they do deliver great pigment - more so when applied with a lip brush.
"The combination of three vegetable waxes − mimosa, jojoba and sunflower − hydrates, nourishes the lips and ensures immediate and lasting comfort.
A silicone wax delivers a new sensory experience. Softer and more melt-away, gliding on more easily for an immediate sensation of fusion with the lips.
A new polymer film and silicone microbeads encourage lasting hold and boosted shine."

Verdict
I think these would be my new favourite lipsticks from Chanel as they are just so comfortable and luscious on the lips!  If you love purple pink lipsticks like I do, then Jean is a must-have - particularly if you have olive skin.  Such a hue just gives immediate life to the complexion and it's very flattering.   With so many shades to choose from there's bound to be one or two...or more for everyone!  Good luck choosing! >_<

BURBERRY SPRING/SUMMER 2015 RUNWAY PALETTE

The Burberry Spring/Summer 2015 Runway Palette is a limited edition piece that contains a powder blush and highlighter.  It features a fun and quirky "Rain or Shine" motif from the Prorsum collection was originally hand-painted in the Burberry studio, which reflects the synergy between Burberry fashion and beauty.  The pretty shimmers are an overspray, so they will disappear after a few uses.

The colours are taken from the womenswear collection: Pink Azalea and Bright Coral red sit alongside a nude cloud on a Hydrangea Pink background.
Below: the palette photographed in low light without a strobe to depict the shimmers.
And, here is how the palette looks when the overspray is gone.
Packaging
The palette is consistent with Burberry's other blush compacts.  Very sleek and gorgeous in its gunmetal finish, magnetic enclosure and subtle Burberry check pattern.
The palette comes with a black velvet pouch also with the Burberry check.  A little brush applicator is included and is housed in its own pocket.
The brush is made of natural bristles - very soft, flat and angled to assist effortless blending on the cheeks.
Below, the product description label on the bottom of the palette.
Swatches
Below are my initial swatches of the individual colours with the overspray.  For reference, I have medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone.
And here we have all the colours blended together (blush and highlighter)...
Size
9 g / 0.32oz

Made in Italy

Overall
This is a a beautiful muted rose pink shade.  It's ever so wearable and a natural-looking, enlivening flush of colour on the cheeks.  On my medium, olive skin, it looks so natural that I'd say it could be worn with just about any makeup look.  Even though it seems like a very soft shade when swatched, it actually really does show up on my cheeks much more easily with a brush in just a layer or two.  The highlighter itself is not shimmery at all - instead, it just gives the slightest, most natural-looking glow and a touch of brightness.  The powder texture is soft and silky and blends seamlessly and beautifully.  So achieving just enough pigment takes little product and little effort.  I also appreciate the longevity of the blush - having worn it for at least seven hours with little fading on my current normal to dry skin condition and no primer.  I've worn this a lot since I purchased it and it's quickly become my go-to blush.  I'm happy to add this to my collection as it's probably the most natural looking, easy-to-wear cheek colour of all the shades that I have.  So pretty!  I highly recommend you snatch this up!

URBAN DECAY NAKED ON THE RUN

$

Urban Decay's Naked On The Run is a limited edition, travel-ready, all-in-one palette.
The palette comes in a "sleek, highly metallized rose-gold case topped with mesmerising, perhaps Bohemian type of artwork and a bold, metallic” label.  The underside of the lid features a huge mirror.  Overall, I like. ^_^
LET'S TAKE A CLOSER LOOK INSIDE...
The palette contains:
// Six ALL-NEW shades of eyeshadow (including an extra large sized all-over shade, 5050),
// Bronzer,
// Blush,
// A full-sizeNaked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss in 'Sesso'(new shade),
// A travel-size 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in 'Stag' (new shade), and
// A travel-size Perversion Mascara.

EYE SHADOWS
From left to right in the palette:
// Dive: metallic rose with golden micro-shimmer (I love this shade for day!),
// Fix: soft taupe matte,
// Resist: medium metallic taupe,
// Dare: medium brown matte,
// Stun: metallic bronze with light gold micro-shimmer, and
// 5050: cool bisque satin, or a soft pink champagne (I initially thought this was a highlighter due to its larger size in the palette, but I find it works well as an eye shadow and a highlighter - love versatility!).

Size: 5 x 1.4g / 5 x 0.04oz

EYE SHADOW SWATCHES
Below - swatches in low light (without a strobe) to depict the shimmers.
BRONZER, BLUSH & HIGHLIGHTER/EYE SHADOW
The bronzer is a medium, warm bronze with a matte finish so it looks more natural.  I was a little worried that it may be a bit too orange as it appears in the pan, but thankfully it isn't so on my medium, olive skin tone (~NC30).  It just gives the right amount of warmth - a great everyday bronzer.  It would be too light for deeper skin tones though.

The blush is described as a "vibrant pink with light shimmer".  When swatched, the shimmers appear very subtle and sparse.  The shimmer doesn't appear to be noticeable on the cheeks though so don't be alarmed.  It has a cool undertone so it would suit those with similar undertone and also flatter those with olive skin.  Warning, this is extremely pigmented!  I've overdone it a couple of times >_<  So, I recommend using a very light hand and either a soft brush that's not too dense, or a stippling brush.  Just a single, slightest touch with my Suqqu Cheek Brush was plenty enough!

COMPARISON SWATCHES | BRONZER, BLUSH & HIGHLIGHTER/EYE SHADOW
Note: the swatch labelled as "UD highlighter" below is actually an eye shadow, but I use it for both purposes as mentioned. ;)
All the powder products in the palette are very finely milled and have a very smooth, silky texture - with the exception of the two shimmery eye shadows, which have the slightest bit more texture to them due to the shimmer particles.  Still, they all apply smoothly and have great colour pay-off.  I will say that the two shimmery eye shadows do have a little bit of shimmer fall-out during application, so you need to be careful (either apply your foundation/base after eye makeup so you can clean it up; or after dipping the eye shadow brush onto the pan, firmly press the powder onto the brush bristles between the tip of your index finger and thumb before dabbing gently onto the lid to help prevent fall out).  They all lasted the ten hours I wore them on my normal to dry skin (no primer) with only slight fading at the end of that period, but not enough to require touch up. :)

PERVERSION MASCARA
Perversion Mascara is described as a "blackest black".  This has your traditional bristle brush applicator rather than the plastic ones, which I've been using a lot of late.  So, this brush was a nice change for me.  :)  While I've learned to appreciate and love the plastic brush over time, I have missed and love the way the traditional brush feels so soft against my lashes!  This one is particularly big and full so it coats every single lash.  The finish looks naturally longer, thicker with no clumps and wispy!  It first applies wet, but dries quickly and seems to hold the curl I applied using my eye lash curler.  Plus, it doesn't make my lashes feel stiff.  Overall, love it and likely to repurchase this on its own.  The only problem I have is that it has a scent that is consistent with a mascara that has gone off. :(  I'm not sure if they all smell like that all the time, or I happen to get a dud.  Do you have the same issue with yours?  Let me know in the comment below.

URBAN DECAY 24/7 GLIDE-ON EYE PENCIL IN 'STAG'
It's my first to try their 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils and I rather like them - well, this one shade I've tried at least. :)  I've only tested on the upper eye lids (along the lash line), but not along the waterline as I'm very sensitive in that area so I avoid it like the plague.  It applies easily and smoothly without any tugging at the skin.  I can get decent pigmentation after a couple of gentle strokes, and it lasted the ten hours I wore it without any noticeable fading.  (Personally, I'm unlikely to ever need to wear it for 24 hours!).  Stag is a deep brown satin.  A great every day shade - dark enough to provide good definition without being black and harsh for day wear.
Size: 0.8 g / 0.03 oz.  Above is how its size compares with one of the Marc Jacobs mini Highliner Gel Crayons (reviewed here).

PERVERSION MASCARA SWATCH & COMPARISON SWATCHES OF STAG 24/7 GLIDE-ON EYE PENCIL
NAKED ULTRA NOURISHING GLOSS IN 'SESSO'
Sesso is described as a rose with pink shimmer.  It's a 'my-lips-but-better' kinda shade.  It's most similar to Nars's Dolce Vita lip gloss, which suits most skin tones.  On my cool-toned, naturally pigmented lips, it looks very natural and allows more of my natural lip colour to show through, so the pigmentation isn't strong.  The shimmers aren't really noticeable when applied.  It does leave the lips looking a little plumper, so great for those who need it like I do.  The scent is interesting - it has a sweet and minty side to it, which I find pleasant enough, but I also detect a more unpleasant chemical scent to it.  Perhaps they tried to hide the latter, but didn't quite cover it up 100%?  Overall, I would much rather use Sesso as a layer of gloss on top of lipstick than on its own as it looks a bit boring on me (my dull, olive skin tone always needs a touch of brightness to lift my complexion and make me look more alive).  So, this means I'll have to carry around a lipstick (or possibly switch the gloss compartment in the palette with one or a different lip gloss).  It's a shame it hasn't quite reached the "all-in-one" palette claim for me in that regard.

Size: 4ml / 0.13 fl. Oz
OVERALL
I really enjoy using this palette.  Love everything about it, but my least favourite is the lip gloss (the strange scent and the shade is a bit 'meh' on me).  It's a great neutral palette to have for every day and one of the more "complete" ones out there, so it's great for travel.  The size is decent and it's not too weighty.  The packaging and the large mirror that stays still when you tilt it at desired position/angle for viewing make it convenient to prop up on any flat surface and have most if not all of the makeup necessities you need while you're on-the-go.  The finish of the packaging is also fairly pleasing to me - I prefer it better than the usual tin packaging of the Naked 1, 2 and 3 eye shadow palettes, which I find a bit tacky and clumsy (oh fussy me! ;) ).  Great value for money - I highly recommend you get your hands on one while you can!

AVAILABILITY
Limited edition.  I purchased mine a couple or so months ago from Selfridges online (still available there when this post was published for £37.00), which ship internationally.  Unfortunately, this palette appears to have sold out (for a reasonably-than-normal priced AUD$78) during the online pre-sale to those registered to receive Urban Decay email notifications in Mecca Maxima in Australia - apparently only 1000 were up for grabs!  >_<  (Note, the rest of the Urban Decay product line officially becomes available to purchase online or in store on 27th March!)

Hope this was helpful. :)

FRIDAY BEAUTY PICKS

Yay, Friday's here! ^_^  Hope you guys have had a good week.  If you follow me on Instagram (thank you ;) ), you will notice I often post my beauty selections for the day/evening.  I do enjoy sharing those, so hopefully you like them!  Today, I thought I'd share them with you here and on IG. ;)

Today's beauty picks are primarily inspired by the beautiful blue hues from this season's J.Crew catalog.  The star of my selections is the new Sisley Phyto 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quartet in 'Mystery' (2).  This palette is a limited edition for Spring 2015.  If you've followed my blog long enough (again thank you if you have!), you'll know I love me some blue eye shadow, so of course, I could not resist the gorgeousness and intensity of the blue (and grey!) in this palette.  It's exorbitantly expensive, but oh, so utterly divine.  I shall endeavour to do a post on it soon if time permits!  And, for the blackest eye liner I have, which doesn't budge, fade or tug - I used Marc Jacobs mini Highliner Gel Crayon in 'Blacquer' (swatched and reviewed here).  For lashes, I used my current fave mascara - Benefit They're Real! and the Burberry Effortless Eyebrow Definer in Ash Brown (No. 03) to fill-in any sparse areas in my brows (latter two products not pictured).

For lips and cheeks, I've chosen muted, soft pinks with a slight mauve undertones.  The pink gives my olive skin a bit of life, yet it's subtle enough to not clash with the strong, smokey eye, which is the focus of the look.  For cheeks, I used Jardin de Chanel (Camelia Rose) Blush - also, a limited edition for spring.  The design of the powder is so pretty and contrary to my initial belief, this has great pigmentation and does show up with no problems on my medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone.  For lips, I've been loving Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Séduisante (91) - a gorgeous, easy-to-wear everyday lipstick.

For base, I used By Terry Cellularose Brightening CC Lumi-Serum as skincare/primer for a glowing effect and my long-time, go-to foundation - By Terry Cover-Expert.

For fragrance, Diptyque's L'Ombre dans l'Eau was my pick.  I think it's such a beautiful fragrance, especially for the current transitional weather we're experiencing this autumn (or spring if you're on the other side of the woods). It smells of "Blackcurrant leaves, Bulgarian roses - Reminiscent of a walk in an English garden, filled with Bulgarian rose petals and leaves of the blackcurrant bush. The scent of sap graciously freshens up this idyllic and rural escapade."

I'm off to dinner and to see a film tonight with the husband, so I think this whole look with the smokey, intense blue eyeshadow will be perfect for the night out. ;)

Have a wonderful Friday and a fun-filled weekend! ^_^ xo

LONG WEEKEND BEAUTY PACKING + MINI REVIEWS

Hi peeps!  Hope you had a great Easter long weekend. ^_^
We managed to get away on a bit of a road trip to catch up with family and see some new sights for a few days.  So, I thought I'd share what beauty items I packed - a few are recently acquired items, but most are my 'go-to' that I know I can depend on while I'm travelling.  I'll also share my thoughts on some of the items - particularly the newer ones I've tried.  The rest I consider my essentials for good reason and I highly recommend them all.  As pictured above, I packed three separate little bags: one for skin care and bath products, makeup and another for makeup brushes.

Skin Care & Bath
A. Mecca Cosmetica Clean Slate Makeup Remover (deluxe sample size)
Very nice, is just like a cleansing water in that you apply it with a cotton pad and don't have to rinse it afterward.  It effectively removes all traces of makeup while still being gentle on the skin (it doesn't sting my eyes) and leaves my skin feeling hydrated.

B. Avène Thermal Spring Water (travel size)
I love using this on my face directly after cleansing and before I apply all my other skin care products such as serum, moisturiser and sun cream.  See comparative review here.

C. Erno Laszlo Phelityl Pre-Cleansing Oil (mini size)
I brought this just in case the Mecca Cosmetica Clean Slate one did not remove all my makeup, or if I needed to quickly remove all makeup in one go without having to use a lot of cotton pads.  I did use it once and I found the texture to be a lot thicker, greasy and harder to work with compared to other cleansing oils such as Shu Uemura Skin Purifier High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil and Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil.  I also definitely had to use a face cleanser afterwards to remove all of the oil as it doesn't emulsify and remove with water as it does with traditional cleansing oils.  Of course, I have since learned that it is meant to be followed with Erno Laszlo's Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar.  Had I known, I would have brought this as well seeing as I purchased these two items as part of the Netaporter - The Holiday (Beauty) Kit (posted here).

D. Ren Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Gel (deluxe sample size)
A good, rose-infused cleansing gel that smells delicious - like turkish delight. :-P  It's gentle and leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed.

E. Omorovicza Illuminating Moisturiser (deluxe/travel size)
I purchased this in an introductory set back in November believe it or not (se
e post here)!  I can't believe I waited this long to use it coz I found this an absolute joy to use for the first time during my weekend away.  It smells and feels ultra luxurious on the skin and feels like I'm at a beauty spa every time I use it!  I must say, I wasn't that thrilled with the only other Omorovicza product I've tried, which was their much-hyped-about and exorbitantly expensive Queen of Hungary Mist (for one, the scent stops me from using it all that often!), so I was extremely surprised and happy that the moisturiser works for me and exceeded my expectations after such a disappointing first impression of the brand.  The moisturiser leaves the skin feeling nourished all day for those with normal to dry skin conditions like myself.  It sinks into the skin quickly and doesn't feel greasy or heavy on the skin - just smooth, supple, fresh and hydrated!  I may just repurchase this in its full size when I have finished it, especially now that we're heading into the colder months down-under - it will definitely be much needed.

F & G: Rahua Voluminous Shampoo & Conditioner (deluxe sizes)
This is ok as a normal shampoo and conditioner - perhaps slightly drying.  Unfortunately, I do not find this gives my hair volume so I would not repurchase.  /:-\

H: L'Occitane Ultra Rich Shower Cream (deluxe size)
An oldie but a goodie.  Smells and feels great on the skin.

Makeup
For makeup, I used my Anya Hindmarch in-flight bag in the uber bright clementine shade.  It has two compartments - one smaller compartment labeled for "Touch Down" and a larger compartment labeled for "Take Off".  Although I wasn't flying, I do love the usability and convenience of its size and clear compartments - making it perfect for travel no matter how you get there.
In the larger compartment, I packed the larger items including:

A. Burberry Sheer Eye Shadow in Pale Barley (No. 22) - gorgeous, unique neutral shade - perfect on its own for a quick and simple, yet beautiful eye look.  It's reviewed in full here.

B. Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Cocoa Mirage - a must-have neutral palette with exquisite formula.  One of the few I have never fully reviewed on its own on my blog, but is nonetheless well-loved and have used frequently for ages.  If you need me to post swatches and more thoughts on it - let me know in a comment below!

C. Chanel Ombres Perlées de Chanel - my all-time favourite eye shadow palette from Chanel Spring 2011!  Amazing colours, finish and unique cream to powder texture.

D. Jardin de Chanel (Camelia Rose) Blush from Spring 2015 (limited edition)
Featured in my previous post - here.

E. By Terry Cover-Expert Foundation
Another of the few that I absolutely love, but not yet fully reviewed on my blog! >_<  This is my favourite foundation and I've been using it 99% of the time since I first tried it over a year ago.  Again, let me know if you'd like to see swatches and more detailed review.  I mix two shades to suit my skin tone.

F. Burberry Light Glow Blush in Earthy
Top contour/bronzer/blush of 2014 and still top now.  A must-have.  And, no...I haven't reviewed it on my blog yet, but let me know if you'd like me to!  >_<

G. Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight
Love the compact size of this highlighter making it perfect for travel.  Very pretty and easy-to-use.

H. By Terry Cellularose Brightening CC Lumi-Serum
My new favourite serum primer.  I think this may just beat Le Blanc de Chanel Sheer Illuminating Base that I raved on about here!  Both add a subtle glow/luminosity to the skin, are brightening and help prolong makeup wear, but I do appreciate the By Terry's that little bit more as I find it lifts and brightens my complexion without any white cast or altering the way foundation looks on top.  Sometimes I find Le Blanc de Chanel's makes my skin tone lighter so my foundation is no longer a perfect match for my skin tone and I have to correct it with a bronzer or slightly darker foundation.

I. Chanel Eye Lash Curler
My go-to curler since 2012!  (See my comparative review here).  I've changed the rubber pads on it a couple or so times since, but now I've ran out. *sheds tears*  I went to the Chanel Makeup Studio to get a new curler, but have just been told it was a limited edition!!!!!  :'-(  I'm still trying to come to grips with not buying backups of this curler.  How did I not know this?!  #beautybloggerproblems#sosadrightnow
In the smaller compartment of the makeup bag are:

A. Benefit They're Real Mascara
My current favourite mascara.  Love the spiky ball end for making my short outer lashes longer, more wispy and flattering.  Also love the fact that it isn't too difficult to remove at the end of the day.

B. Burberry Eye Definer Pencil in Midnight Brown
Beautiful, brown eye pencil - smooth and doesn't tug, fade or transfer.

C. Burberry Effortless Eyebrow Definer in Ash Brown (No. 03)
My new favourite brow pencil.  Another must-have!

D. By Terry Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadow in Bronze Moon
Another super easy eyeshadow to work with, especially being in a convenient stick form - making it perfect for travel when you may not have too much time for makeup application, because there are things to do and people and places to see!  Just draw it on in a single stroke or two on the eye lid and blend with a clean finger tip.  Bronze Moon is a stunning shade on its own.

E. Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Champagne
A nude shimmer eye primer that is pretty on its own as a brightening wash of shimmer or as an eye shadow primer - making it a great dual-purpose makeup travel companion.

F. Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Séduisante (91)
Been loving this warm-toned, light to medium pink for every day.

G. Rouge Coco - Ultra Hydrating Lip Color in Jean (454)
Review and swatches here.

H. Burberry Lip Cover in Bright Plum (No. 15)
My go-to, deep, "vampy-type" (or as "vampy as I can get") lipstick - it has enough brightness in it and sheen to give life to my medium olive skin tone.  Very chic and modern colour.

I. By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder (mini size)
I've only used this once, so I can't say too much about it at this stage except that this loose powder is one of the finest I've seen (it just puffs up into the air very easily!), and it's translucent.  Because it's so fine, a little goes a long way and it doesn't give me a caky or powdery finish.  I received this as part of a Mecca Beauty Loop (Level 3) box recently (see post here) and it's such a perfect, cute, mini size to take on trips as many loose powders usually come in huge, heavy containers - far too inconvenient to bring along.  I love that it has a sifter, too!

J. Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer
My all-time favourite concealer.  Yes, it's expensive, but I've used this 90% of the time since I purchased it two years ago(!) and believe it or not, it's still the very same stick (will most likely finish this tube some time this year though)!  Nuff said.

K. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat (Re-shape and Resize Lip Liner) Pencil
The perfect nude pencil for me.  Highly recommend.

L. Burberry Beauty Lip Definer Shaping Pencil in 'Bright Plum' (No. 04)
I rave about this beauty here.

M. Burberry Pencil Sharpener

Makeup Brushes
My favourite brush case is the Hakuhodo Po810Sb (also featured in this haul post).  I love it so much I purchased a second in the champagne colour as well - see it here.  It's just the perfect size to keep the essential brushes I need when I'm travelling.  This time around, I brought along some of my go-to brushes - I have several that I love, but these are some of my favourite and happen to be clean at the time!):

A. Rae Morris Deluxe Pro Blender Brush 6 - perfect small and flat shape for powdering over small areas of the face such as under the eyes, 't-zone' and blemishes where concealer has been applied.  I also love it for applying highlighter and even blending out eye shadow.

B. Rae Morris Pro Powder Brush 22

C. Mac 217 Blending Brush

D. Suqqu Cheek Brush - I've now invested in two of these, because I use it ALL the time and is undoubtedly the most used brush in my collection.  See my comparative review of it here.

E. Tom Ford Eye Shadow Blend 13 - excellent eye shadow blending brush that's also directional so it offers precise blending due to its shape and isn't too fluffy.

F. Rae Morris Deluxe Round Shader (#7.5)

These Rae Morris magnetic brushes have been solid workhorses in my makeup brush collection since I got a hold of them as soon as they were released two years ago.  They're superb quality and made from super soft, luxurious feeling blue squirrel hair that's animal cruelty free!  The brushes I have are mentioned in this haul post.  Let me know if you'd like me to do a review of any of them, or if you'd like to see my favourite makeup brush post. ;)

And...that's a wrap!  Hope this was useful. :)

Thanks for stopping by! ^_^ xo
