BURBERRY LACQUER RED NO. 302 NAIL POLISH - REVIEW & SWATCHES

About Burberry Nail Polishes
"Formulated with patent-pending technology, Burberry Nail Polish has a protective and long-lasting high-gloss finish with accelerated drying and hardening times.
The formula contains strengthening and moisturising elements, including anti-oxidant pro-vitamin B5 and myrrh extract, to help protect and care for nails and prevent breakages.
Effortless application is guaranteed with a high-precision rounded-end brush design.
Discover saturated hues direct from the Prorsum runway, intense, highly pigmented tones reflecting the British weather and landscape, and subtle hues of nude inspired by the trench coat, the most iconic of all Burberry garments."
"A two-coat application dries in under 2 minutes and is completely hard within 6.5 minutes"

Colour & Finish
Lacquer Red is a, beautiful, rich, very blue-toned, deep red with a super glossy finish.  The more you you layer, the deeper the colour.
Application
Lacquer Red has a great consistency (neither thick or thin). It goes on smoothly and evenly with full coverage achieved in just a single coat!!  But, you can add another coat for a bit more depth like I have in the photos down below.  It's great to know it's not necessary, especially if you're in a rush or feeling a bit lazy.  I also found that it dries and hardens fairly quickly within a few minutes as claimed. :)

Longevity
So far, I've been wearing this for three days with no base or topcoat and it hasn't chipped.  There is a barely noticeable tip-wear on one of my nails.

Packaging
Gorgeous packaging as usual from Burberry Beauty - it's consistent with the rest of the makeup line. The cap is plastic with the gunmetal-like finish and has the iconic Burberry check all around it.
The applicator brush is wide and flat for easy and quick application with fewer strokes.

RRP & Size

AU$29 for 8 ml / 0.27 fl. oz. of product in each bottle. It's less expensive than say, Chanel's and YSL's nail polishes, but you also get less (e.g., 5 ml less than Chanel's). Having said that, I don't think I've ever used up an entire bottle of nail polish, so I'm not complaining. ;)

On My Nails...
I applied two coats of Lacquer Red for more depth (though as mentioned, not a necessity) with no base or top coat.  For reference, I have medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone.  All photographed indoors using a strobe.

Comparison Swatches
Lacquer Red is the deepest compared to Chanel's Pirate (my other fave red nail polishes that's also blue-toned), and Rouge Rubis (a lighter, brighter, more neutral red).
Overall
Love the depth, ultra shine and no-fuss one-coat wonder in Lacquer Red is now a new favourite red nail polish of mine and can't wait to wear this for the coming Christmas holidays - perhaps with a gold accent! ^_^  So far, my current Burberry Nail Polish picks have been very impressive!  Fingers crossed it stays that way... Hope this was helpful.

Meanwhile, stay tuned for swatches and thoughts on the rest of my Burberry Nail Polish picks if you're interested. ;)
