The Chanel Eye Shadow Quads (the baked / "non-USA" version) that I've long despised mainly for their lack of pigmentation when applied dry (you need to dampen the brush for intensity) have now been reformulated! The new version now applies much more smoothly and have more colour intensity. There are eight new 'harmonies' or quads released and each one contain four shades that provide different effects: matte, satin, iridescent and metallic. The shades are inspired by Chanel Couture and the notably, the iconic Chanel Tweeds. These are the harmonies:
- Tissé Camélia
- Tissé Cambon
- Tissé Vendôme
- Tissé Mademoiselle
- Tissé Riviera
- Tissé Gabriélle
- Tissé Vénitien (now reviewed here)
- Tissé Rivoli
With the help of swatches and reviews from Sara from Color Me Loud and Sunny from Mostly Sunny Blog, I picked up the last four shades mentioned. ^_^ Note, from memory I think these should be released in Australia in the next month - so not long to go! You can also get them from Harrods.com where I purchased mine, or from Selfridges.com.
Chanel have also released a couple more new eye makeup ranges including the waterproof version of my current all-time favourite mascara - Le Volume de Chanel Waterproof Mascara in black, brown and a green-grey, and a new shades of the Stylo Yeux Waterproof (Long-lasting Eyeliner) in 'Smoky Grey', 'Marron Glacé', 'Iris' and 'Bleu Métallique'.
