So here goes...my responses to her 11 questions - hope you find it somewhat interesting!
1. What is the first beauty product you bought?
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer. I bought this at Sephora in Paris whilst travelling with my mother about 10 years ago! I remember it was quite a splurge for me, but I absolutely loved using it as the sales lady had advised - in particular, just to lighten any dark shadows around the eye area. I was lucky not to have any blemishes back then, so that's all I used it for. This and pressed powder that I'd probably "borrowed" from my mother and never returned. ;-) LOL. That was it. I was a beginner back then - a very late 'bloomer' into cosmetics really. I guess, you could say I'm now making up for lost time. :) To this day, I still have that original (empty) concealer (just because it has sentimental value) - the pot is much larger than it is now, which is interesting.

2. Name your favorite shade of blush
Why pink, of course (particularly blue-based ones that pop against my olive skin tone)! ;-) Kind of weird since I don't particularly like pink in general, but love it on the cheeks (and lips).

3. If you could only own one eyeshadow palette (no more than 5 shades), what would it be?
This is tricky. I have a few and mostly Burberry! /:-\ However, right now, I would have to say the Chanel Eye Shadow Quad from Spring 2013 - Raffinement. It's a lovely, cool set of neutrals for any time. It's the palette I've been using the most over the past month.
4. What is your favorite look for formal events?
Probably the classic red lip. You can't go wrong with it. It's timeless and just about goes with any outfit.
5. Do you coordinate your makeup with your outfits and how?
Yes, I do try to. I usually go by colour. For example: 5. Do you coordinate your makeup with your outfits and how?
- Blue clothing: cool, grey-toned or blue eye shadows and peachy cheeks and/lips. Sometimes, I may wear a bright, deep fuschia lip and a subtle, blue-based pink blush if I don't have enough time to do a lot of work on the eyes.
- Red clothing: I don't often wear red, but when I do, I may pair it with a red lip with matching tone (cool for a cool red outfit, or warm if it's a warm red outfit), otherwise just a neutral, natural makeup, particularly if it's for day time.
- Black clothing: anything goes, but I usually like to have a bold lip as a contrast such as a bright orange, or red or fuschia paired with minimal, neutral eye shadows (or just a simple eye liner!). If I have more time to play with eye shadow, I can pretty much use any colour I feel like on the day/night - purple, or whatever, because it won't clash with the black.
- Otherwise, I just choose a neutral and natural makeup (e.g., my lips but better and neutral eye shadows and blush), which will go with any colour you wear.
This is hard, because to this day my husband and I still argue about when our first date was exactly! *sigh* It was most probably whatever I wore to work that day coz he'd have picked me up straight from the office out to dinner! Unfortunately, I wouldn't have a clue exactly what I wore, other than something very work/office appropriate. :-(
7. Where would you go for the ultimate fun?
Definitely go back to the Maldives where I spent our honeymoon! Just relaxing, being pampered,swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, etc.
8. What is your go-to way of applying foundation, brushes, sponges or clean fingers?
Clean fingers! It's the quickest and easiest way, plus the warmth of my fingers helps to meld it all to my skin for a more natural, seamless finish. This is, of course, if I'm using liquid foundation, which is what I use the most.
9. Who inspires your love of beauty?
Fellow beauty bloggers and vloggers (whether they are professional make-up artists, or just a lover of makeup) that share this same passion and therefore, give me an endless list of lemmings when they get excited about it! ;-)

10. What is your beauty style?
I love simple and natural. This is my 'go-to' and how I started loving makeup - being able to conceal a little bit here and there and enhancing what I naturally have (that's not so bad!) - just to help give me a bit more confidence. I guess that's why I'm usually drawn to brands such as Becca, Burberry and Chanel. All fairly simple beauty styles, yet sophisticated. Becca and Burberry in particular are very natural looking. Becca is the reason why I really started my makeup obsession (you can find out about it here)! Of course, occasionally I love to play with colour, too - but, still in a fairly simple way (e.g., a vivid eyeliner) - nothing too 'out there'.
11. If you could only play up one feature of your face from day to night, what would you choose?
My eyes. Simply because I find that the lips are harder to maintain throughout the evening, particularly when going out for drinks/dinner. If my lipstick has faded, at least my eyes are still the stand-out and give my face some definition. (I can wear a bright lipstick during the day, but can change it up to a deeper colour at night - but in general, the intensity of lip colour pretty much stays the same! /:-\).

She details the ingredients of products and their pros and cons, which make it a unique and educational read.
- Keeping Up With Me: Tara is one of the kindest bloggers I've had the pleasure of meeting. A fellow Australian with a penchant for lipstick - particularly, Dior! I can't wait to catch up with her again one day and do some serious shopping at the Dior, Chanel and Burberry counters in Sydney. I love this card she posted on Instagram -
