Chanel Métamorphose Quadra Eye Shadow is a limited edition item from the Chanel L'ete de Papillon (Summer Butterfly) 2013 Collection, but it is a exclusive to the chanel.com site.

Packaging
A black velvet pouch is included.
Chanel's sleek, black laquer compact.
Very good quality, thick and durable white sponge applicators are included, and mirror - handy for on-the-go-touch ups.
Product description and label at the bottom of the compact.

Colours
Clockwise from top left of the quad compact above:
- A medium, blue green with a touch of teal and a frosted sheen finish (my favourite shade of the four!). ^_^
- A pale, mint green with a strong silver sheen finish.
- A pale beige-yellow with a frosted sheen finish.
- A dark blue with a satin finish and bright blue shimmers.
Above: in low, natural light.

Formula & Pigmentation
Baked (hard) eye shadows - which are typical of the Chanel Eye Shadow Quads released in Europe, Australia and Asia.  Even though I swore to myself I wouldn't purchase another baked eye shadow from Chanel due to the sheerness when applied dry and low value for money (amount is much less than the U.S. versions), I just couldn't resist the colour combination of this quad! >_<  The baked eye shadows however, really shine through and seem to be made for wet/dampened application as you can see in the swatches further down below.  I can never be bothered to dampen my brush for eye shadow application, but for these colours - I think it will be worth the effort!  Also, since the colour combination is quite colourful, I'd need a little more thought about how to apply unlike neutral shades - so I'm sure to take additional time to dampen the applicator brush anyway. ;)  They are simply stunning, extremely pigmented and the colours are intense and brilliant when applied wet! *_*

Swatches
Swatched Dry Using Provided Sponge Applicator
For reference, I have medium, olive (NC30) skin tone.

The second from the left shade was the most pigmented and applied evenly of the four when applied dry.  It also happens to have the softest texture of them all.  The left-most dark blue shade was the one of the sheerest and hardest to apply evenly when swatched (was a little patchy).

Swatched Wet Using Dampened Sponge Applicator

RRP & Size
US$59.00 for 0.04 oz. of product.

Verdict
Applied wet, these eye shadows make my heart flutter like a butterfly's wings. ^_^
