The latest to come out from Chanel is their Rouge Allure Moiré Collection and it's all about lips and nails.  The collection consists of several new Rouge Allure Lipsticks, Rouge Allure Extrait de Glosses, Precision Lip Definer Pencils, Lip Colour Sticks and two Nail Vernis.  The Chic Profile has details (including which is limited edition) of the collection HERE.  It's officially released in Australia tomorrow, but have already come in stock, so if you're interested make sure you get in quick!  It seems a lot of people have already put them on hold and there's only a few available per counter.

Chanel Le Vernis in Rouge Moiré (595) is one of the three items I purchased from the collection.  As far as I'm aware, both the nail polishes including this one are a new addition to the permanent range.  So this may give some of you some relief! ;)

Colour
It's described as a 'pearly red' by Chanel.  Up close, there are fuchsia pearlescent micro shimmers, which are visible to the naked eye.  These add interest to the finish, which makes it rather unique in my personal collection. :)  In a way, its reddish shade is kind of in between Chanel Rouge Carat, and Chanel Malice (see below).  I find Malice is lovely, but is too deep for my skin tone to really 'pop out'.  Rouge Moiré on the other hand, with it's pretty fuchsia pearl and lighter red hue, gives life and brightness to my olive, sallow hands.  I much prefer it!  Under bright lighting, it looks a brighter red, but in lower light, it takes on a more plum red hue.  Very interesting. :)

Packaging
Like the rest of Chanel's nail polishes, it comes in a square-shaped glass bottle.  The top cap comes off and is handy to rest your finger tip on during application. :)
The brush applicator is thin allowing precise application of the nail polish.

Consistency & Application
The consistency is neither too thick or too thin, making it quick and easy to apply.  It's one of the the few that are single-coat wonders and applies fairly evenly!  ^_^  Love it (I'm lazy and impatient).

On My Nails
On my nails below, I applied only a single coat of Rouge Moiré!  For reference, I have medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone, and photographed indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe.  With this much lighting, the colour appears brighter and redder in the photos (compared to lower lighting as mentioned above).

Comparison Swatches
Take 2.

All Chanel nail products are formaldehyde-free, toluene-free and DBP-free.

Bottom Line
A lovely and interesting red one-coater! :)

Hope this was helpful.

Thanks for stopping by! ^_^ xo
